My bangs are to my nose. and I've had it to past my chin before but for some reason my parents wont let me grow it too far from what it is now.
And I don't really wany it too long...just to around where it was. about 7 inches..which is kinda between my mouth and chin.
I'm a boy..otherwise I probably wouldn't be having this problem. I'm 14 and about to be 15.
Thank you

Talk to your parents open and honestly( without getting angry)
about what their objections are.Could be that they don't want their friends and other family members to think that their are bad parents or that you are a slob. Tell them why you want it and assure them you will keep it neat and CLEAN !!!

Luke,
You might ask them if there is a way you could earn your way to letting your hair grow longer. Offer to make it a permanent change -the maturity in that offer may persuade them. By the way, girls do have the same problems. Parents have reasons for their limitations, but they all have them -as will you, when it's your turn.

I had a friend whose dad wouldn't let her cut her hair. The day she was 18 she got a job, moved out, and had her hair cut. Since then she has never let her hair grow as long as her shoulders.

The hair is not just a part of your body and it is a symbol of beauty, status and health. It is important for you to take proper care of your health in order to prevent early hair loss. Learn here https://bitly.im/aMOtb It is not a very serious problem and with a little bit of caution you will be able to prevent further hair loss. There are certain uncontrollable factors like pregnancy conditions or certain illness or genetic factors that will result in hair loss. But, this does not mean that you cannot do something about your hair loss.

I can't tell you in one shot, but it would be very helpful at this point to find out what *specifically* they don't like about you having long hair. When I was younger, my dad said that I could grow mine out as long as I kept from looking like an unwashed hippie (not in those same words, but I paraphrase).

There's got to be a sepcific detail about "my son has long hair" that makes them a little uneasy. Find out what that is, and see if it's something you can manage to negotiate.

Rock on

Oh, and by the way:
The "It's my hair, I'll do what I want!" plan doesn't work so well when they feed, clothe and shelter you. Have more respect for your parents than that.

Why would you want your hair to be that long in the first place? Girls don't like guys with really long hair. I can see why your rents won't let you have it any longer than it is now. Even how long it is now is too long.
Sorry, no offence, but that is my honest opinion.
But anyway..Try telling your parents that it's what you really want and that it's your hair and they should let you do whatever you want with it.

When they tell you it's time for a haircut, tell them, politely, that you have decided to let it grow for a while. If they yell, don't yell back. Staying calm will help you show them that you are mature enough to make this decision. They are unlikely to try to force you physically. They may, however, try to bribe you or threaten you. I cut my hair in exchange for a trip to Europe (hey, we all have our price), but later on, I refused all inducements. I even had to wait until I was 18 to get a drivers license because they wouldn't sign for me unless I cut my hair. You have to decide how important it is to you.

Ask them why precisely they experience this variety. make advantageous they provide you real, particular motives, not beat-around-the-bush bullshit. they might not have any logical ones. as quickly as you hit upon the weak spot of their argument against long hair, you need to think of approximately procedures you are able to rebut their factors. mothers and fathers often build such arguments completely with pathetical (aka emotion-based) reasoning. those arguments can actual be deconstructed with good judgment and greater pathos.

first be respectful and start being more responsible. don't slack. make them believe you are more responsible to have longer hair (it is a lot of work). in my opinion anything on your body is yours and you should be aloud to do whatever you want with it.
wait......OMG! sorry i didn't see your a boy. you may want to think about just not havind it too long. your parents may be a bit classic and not want to risk you looking like a girl.
