I would love to investigate them all, but there never seems to be enough time. Then there is the factor of distance, and so many worship on the same day.. sigh, what a bummer. So explain your religion to me :)

Right! So accept the fact that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, and go from there. You can investigate all the imaginations of men from now to eternity, but at least get yourself grounded in truth. Once you are in with God, all these make-believe systems of religion become only passing interests. You need to relate to people who believe in pink elephants, but you need to believe in Jesus Christ. They do too, so you have your marching orders. So little time to waste. Let's not.

Jathgnos - I can sympathize. I was an agnostic and sort of a armchair fan of studying religion until my 30's. I dabbled in a bunch of 'em along the way.

I'm a Christian now, and if I could suggest one book it would be Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis. A pretty short read, and somewhat dated, but still one of the best, concise explanations of Christianity - how all it's beliefs fit together, the logic behind them, and how they differ from those of other religions. I always keep extra copies on my shelf to give away to people with questions about Christianity.

You may find "apologetics" books useful - I did - books that make the case for (or against) different religions. And read both sides. Don't believe the first thing you read about any faith. There's probably more *misleading* stuff written about them all than truthful stuff.

Yes, there are too many religions invented by too many men that have to have God fit there way of thinking.

My religion is just bible believing Christian. Everything in the bible is true, no additions, no deletions. The whole message of the bible is about Jesus being the new sacrifice, the one capable of taking our sins on his account, and then being bled and killed for the sacrifice God requires to cleanse us. We invite Him, and accept Him as our Lord, so we worship him. And we believe we must daily ask for forgiveness, because we sin even if we try not too. We don't believe in homosexuality, karma, reincarnation, psychics, being mean people, we do believe in the commandments, loving all people, and that we are to reach out to explain the simple plan of salvation, with out forcing Jesus on anyone.

The rest of the stuff has no merit: to raise the hands, to kneel or not, to drink or not, to be quiet or dance in the isles, to wear a tie or shorts and slippers, to hold snakes, to not take transfusions, all are mans confusions. Oh yeah, our God believes in love, not killing people who don't agree with us.

peace be upon you
you can make it easier.
divide them , religions which believe presence of the God and religions don't believe in the God.
If you believe the God ,you can neglect the others.
Religions which believe in the God , talk about messengers .
There are different stories about messengers.
There are religions believe in one messenger , and there is religion believe in all prophets .
Every religion has a point in it :
if you can accept that the God have son?
are u believe that Mohammed is a messenger ? have you explanation for the Quran as a miracle?

I feel all this will be also hard , can i give you an advice?
Read about Islam and discuss it .
No difference after that in any religion if it is not Islam.

The pivot around which all of Baha'u'llah's teachings revolve is the oneness of humanity; we are the waves of one sea, the leaves of one tree; the oneness of God, known by different names and understood differently by different cultures; and the oneness of religion, revealed progressively through universal educators, including Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, Muhammad, The Bab, and today, Baha'u'llah, to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization. If you die before you get a chance to investigate all the different religions don`t worry about it because you haven`t missed anything. Religions are interesting to read about. The more of them you are exposed to the less you will believe in any. God help us all if there is one.

A relatively objective (non-Wiccan) set of articles on what Wiccans do and believe:

Another useful article:

http://www.religionfacts.com/neopaganism/paths/wicca.htm

A good site by Wiccans:

http://wicca.timerift.net

An explanation of the religion by a Wiccan:

http://www.uri.org/Wicca_Portrait.html

And the US Army Chaplains Handbook excerpt on Wicca:

http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_usbk.htm

Members of all religions have a relationship with the Deity or Deities they honor. In Wicca, we honor the Divine in male and female polarities -- as God and Goddess, the dance of Whose love gives life to the universe. They encompass all things: life and death, creation and destruction, pleasure and pain. There is nothing that is separate from Them; the universe is Their living body. As a Wiccan, I feel Their presence in every breath I take and in every beat of my heart.

I believe Jesus is real because I have experienced God's presence, miracles, seen angels and tested God's word:

http://www.kingdom-gospel.com/bible.html

You can prove God's Word in 3 ways::

1. Do the word in doctrine and witness truth in your life-

John 7:16-17:
"...'My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself.' "

2. The Holy Spirit will bear witness of Christ (Jesus is the Word of God - John chapter 1)-

John 15:26:
" 'When the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me.' "

3. Confirming signs-

Mark 16:20:
"And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the Word by the signs that followed."
