Oh, hon. I'm so sorry this was done to you. If you listen to me, I can help you. Stop using the chemicals on your face. They're causing long-term damage that you can't undo.

In addition to being mostly carcinogenic, they burn off the layer of skin that protects your skin from bacteria, UV sunlight and dehydration. I can help you get that layer back. I know you just got done trusting someone and they hurt you, but you'll feel relief with just one use of the mask below. I promise - I hate the companies that offer miracle cures without telling people the long-term consequences.

Okay, doll, let's rebuild your protection layer. First, we have to feed it to fatten it up...(no more chemicals - cells need food, not petroleum, to be healthy)

Yummy oatmeal (doesn't that sound better already?)
1/2 cup powdered oats
2 tablespoons honey
1 squished gel-cap of vitamin E or about 10 vitamin E drops
1 teaspoon sunflower oil, or any other liquid oil such as olive oil
optional:
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (do not use the vanilla for about a week- the alcohol, even though it's minimal, could sting a bit in a few places where the chemicals left it too raw)

Mix the ingredients in a dish. Add enough water to make a paste. Warm your skin and open pores with warm compresses. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 minutes or more. Rinse. Ahh, relief.

Do this once or twice a day for a couple of days, then go to every other, then twice a week to keep that top protective layer thick and healthy.

Wash with a natural, non-petro soap. Get that at any natural food store. Explain that you're hurting from chemicals and they'll know exaclty which one you'll need. Make sure there is no citrus or mint in the recipe. These groups are both sensitizers, look for lavender, chamomile or geranium or any blend of those (essential oils NOT fragrances, fragrances are more petro-chems with petro-chem risks)

There's a scrub and spot treatment on this page, as well as the mask above. Try the routine for two weeks. You're going to love the way your skin looks and feels.

click my picture to email me if you have ANY questions at all, I'm glad to help.

It sounds like your dermatologist overloaded your skin w/ medications. You need to call your doctor and let him know what is happening.

I'd switch to a mild cleanser to sooth my skin. Some recommendations: Cetaphil face wash (oil free), Dove beauty bar for sensitive skin or Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser(oil free).

You can alternate the mild cleanser w/ the medicated cleanser if you think your skin needs it.

Tretinoin is a strong topical medication & some people need to build up a tolerance. Try applying a pea size amount every other evening 10-15 minutes after washing your face.

You can use the benzoyl peroxide cream on the nights you don't use the tretinoin if you feel you need it.

As for moisturizing your skin, Cetaphil makes a good fragrance free lotion. Apply it only where needed. You may be able to stop once your skin has calmed down.

Aloe vera might be a better option.

Your skin needs to be exfoliated but not scrubbed. Have you ever tried the 3 step by Clinique? The second step is a toner which is a liquid that exfoliates the skin . You just put it on a cotton ball and rub it on your face. You may be using too much acne solution if your skin is that dry. Try using it once a day and work yourself up to twice a day and even though you have oily skin, you still need a moisturizer. Like I said- Try and go talk with a consultant at Clinique. It is very affordable and it is for young, sensitive skin. I use to work as a skin care consultant. I hope this helps.

OK, this is going to sound quite gross but it WILL help. Take a warm shower, use the absolute mildest soap you have (Pears is good). DO NOT DRY OFF. While you skin is still damp and you are in the tub with the water off, lather yourself down with REAL mayonnaise. You can put it in your hair too. Leave it on for a few minutes, letting the warmth of your skin help to absorb some of the moisturizing effects, then rinse lightly with cool water. Air or pat your skin dry.

Also, before getting into the shower, take a scrubbie or loofah and briskly rub your body down WHILE DRY.

It's probably stuff you have in your house right now. Like I said, it sounds weird, but it's natural What have you got to loose?

Let us know how it works...I know it worked for my husband after his surgeries...he didn't like it much when I brought it up, but he's a believer now.

Before anything, tell you dermatologist that your skin is peeling because dermatologists normally give you facial moisturizer with their acne meds. They all know benzoyl peroxide is a living hell.

In my opinion, I hate putting moisturizer on my face and leaving it on cuz i get more acne. There are facial cleansers though that clean but are really gentle to keep your face from getting dry. But you can wash it off after! so you don't feel like melted pork fat was put on your face.

dont use normal soap on your face. Its too oily and its made for your body that is less sensitive. I tried proactive but that stuff doesnt work and takes too long to put. I like have one bottle that cleans my face, keeps it most and fresh.

I did some research on acne vulgaris and it said tea tree oil is acts just like benzoyl peroxide without the drying effects.

Ok, first of all, the answer someone gave about stop using the stuff for your face and just use soap and water has obviously never had skin problems. Soap and water is one of the worst things you can wash your face with. It dries skin HORRIBLY. Now, the person who uses proactive nailed it on the head. I have quite a few friends who had horrible acne and even worse drying and peeling and they used proactive and cleared everything up and moisturized her skin to a perfect balance.Try it.

To fix dry skin, rub vaseline all over your face. It sounds gross, but it totally works. Leave it on for a few minutes and wash your face well. Then, apply a gentle face lotion.

When you go to sleep, apply the vaseline to the dry areas.

But be careful, vaseline will cause your pores to clog. So wash well! And when you wash make sure you are using a gentle soap. Like the Neutrogena bar that is orange. I think it's 3 dollars at the drugstore.

Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin.Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/

I think that seeing your doctor and letting them know what you're going through is a good idea. someone mentioned vasaline and it really does work but if you do use that make sure to exfoliate about once a week. Oh, and the oatmeal treatment someone else listed sounds good too.
