I have low profile 225/19 tires on my car and the side wall is starting to form a bubble. Why is that happening? How dangerous is it to drive with it the way it is?

Tire is, either defective, or damaged. In any case, it can blow out at any moment, and, at any speed. Sudden blowout at even 20 miles per hour can be dangerous, especially in a turn.

Can't be repaired. Needs to be replaced. If, after a collision, the tire shows any sign of that bubble being there for some time, YOU can be held responsible for any damages or injury to people or property. YOUR neglect may also cause your insurance company to deny your claim.

I've had that happen on the front part of the tire, more than one, they were defective tires. My guess is the tire is bad, probably you hit a curb and damaged it. I'm sure any tire place will tell you to replace it, you can't put a patch on the side wall.

If you drive freeways, then I wouldn't take a chance on it. Having a blow out on the freeway is no fun, especially if a front tire blows, you could lose control of the car.

The cord inside the tire is separating, like a hernia for a person.
It is a problem and the tire needs to be replaced. A higher speed turn can place a lot of stress on the bubble and pop. If you nick the curb it can also pop.

Very. It could blow out any second. Get changed ASAP. That tire is junk. You either have a defective tire or hit a curb or pot hole. It is a common problem with tires with so little side wall.

Its a defective tire. Go and take it back to where you bought them.
