i have been trying to get closer for a long time and i believe i am geetiing closer.. before i get this grief only when i do bigger sins but from past two days i am getting grief for even small sins i do ....it is really painful ...physically and mentally i cant stand with that pain ......what can i do ? i got a full time job and am doing part time studies ... .. i dont want to quit both ...hlp

Dont worry. The Holy Spirit is doing something in your life right now. Just like what has already been said in another answer you are being directed. Dont quit now.

Perhaps this is just the Holy Spirit trying to get you to completely sell out. You either want to serve the Lord or you don't. You shouldn't straddle the fence. It is not a good witness to those around you who know you are a believer.

second, your sins (ANY sins) grieve the Holy Spirit.
third, stop sinning and desire to live a holy life.
