I am. Because I found over the years that the denominational churches where I either worked or attended seemed too concerned with their "rules," and their particular politics and hierarchies more than helping me grow closer to God or helping others develop a relationship with Christ, which is what people are seeking and needing!
So I tried a non-denominational church, kind of by accident! But I was amazed at the quality and thoughtfulness of the messages, as well as by the cohesiveness of the services. I was relieved to be free of meaningless liturgy. The messages are also challenging, and urge us to take church beyond the walls of the building to the outside community, to BE the love of Jesus for others. It has been and incredible experience.

I think I would call myself a non-denominational Christian - at this point in time. I just haven't found the denomination I can commit to - I go to lots of different services. I know being a Christian asks that you be part of a church - but although I once was, and very nearly have lots of times since, right now I'm no particular denomination

I am non-denominational but attend a baptist church because it is where my friends go to church and it is closest to my home. The people there are wonderful so it makes it easy to fit in even though I don't really hold to conventional baptist ideals. I think that it is not about rituals and religion which is alot of the difference between denomination and non-denominational. I belive in the relationship I have with my savior more than the religion. That is why for me.

I've always felt that the body of Christ, which should be united, is split apart and weakened by denominations. Still, when I was looking for a church home, I seriously considered a pentecostal church. I knew of no other denomination that more closely reflected my own beliefs about scripture. I found my church on an internet directory of pentecostal churches, and walked in one Sunday, sight unseen. Well, when I saw a couple of teens in the parking lot in jeans and multiple-pierced ears, I knew it wasn't pentecostal! So I guess you might say God lured me to the church where I belonged. I thought I wanted pentecostal; He knew better. I've never regretted it. The church I attend is completely based on scripture and the authority of Jesus Christ as our redeemer. Our website is www.yourfellowship.org. By the way: I have the highest respect for the pentecostal church and pentecostal people; if I didn't, I wouldn't have been looking on that directory. It just wasn't where God wanted to place me.

I am not really sure about all the names, Methodist, Pentacolstal, etc. My church is just called The Vineyard. They never mention they are any denomination, so I guess that would mean non-denominational. Obviously I am a new Christian. I chose this church because I really felt the Spirit there. No politics.

You do not choose at birth.....thats just one of the problems. I was well into my 50's before I started asking questions that many coud not answer. Is there realy a heaven and hell. ever talk to anyone whose been there, ever talk to God, If God made us in his image, what went wrong with that, after a gazillion years, he pays us a visit and knows we will hang him on a cross. Not a good way to welcome your creator, and he wants to come back when we decide when doomsday will happen. Have you ever created anything? If you have, then this does not make any sense. Look at the big picture. Earth and space and life just did not happen, Some time ago it had to have a start with a very superior force at work. I pray every day and give thanks......but I don't know to who. My time on earth has been well spent and I am thankfull for it, but I see much suffering and once in a while a dead baby. Do we blame that on your Adam and Eve? They never were. God is to me, someone I have to sit down with and have a long hard chat with because I have a lot of questions for him or her. we inherit a lot of our beliefs from our culture and many are extreme to us. We adopt and accept them without question. That is a big mistake. More than ever today we are asking questions about everything.......why not our faith? Today I don't want to put a label on myself and say " I'm a Christian". I just want to say I'm a human being from Earth and I welcome all who come in peace to share what we have today. I just have to look at a baby being born or the human heart...........that in itself shoud end suicide bombers.

I am and i chose that path because i grew up in foster homes and some were Catholics, some were Protestants,Southern Baptist, you name it.( yeah i was in a lot of foster homes)Anyway,as a child i learned about how much bickering goes on between the various denominations and truthfully, started thinking it was wrong for Christians to belittle other Christians.

I don't go to church, nor am I affliated with any denomination. I choose to be independant of it all because of all the corruptness I'd witnessed from church leaders in virtually all denominations. I know that doesn't mean all denominations or churches are corrupt, but I just grew tired of looking for churches I could trust.

well I have been a member in denomination churches but am now in a non denominational group. That is just how God led me in my walk with him.. There are a lot of good groups and some bad ones, just let God lead you to where he wants.

me, raise in the Assemblies of God, and left, went to the Presbyterian, and left, was out of the Church for many years.
went back to the Assemblies of God. but I found that there was less controversy in the non denominational Church.
I found one that preached the Word of God, instead of the religions of men.
and have been growing every since.
I occasional visit denominational churches, but prefer the non denominational ones.
