The airport is not really close to the down town clubs and what the previous person said about cabs being expensive is true. However;
Here you go.
Lots of really fine restaurants that will still be open late. Try La Mariana at sand Island. One of the last existing Tiki Bars it is a great restaurant with beautiful old fashion decor. Probably the closest good place to the Airport. If you want to brave Waikiki start off at Dukes and get a feel for the beautiful people. Just about any type of food you want is available in Honolulu so just ask the cabbie and he will put you right. Lots of clubs from Irish pubs to techno. It depends on what you want. There is even a huge area of strip clubs. Not my thing but they are available if you go that way. You are going to be running a little late for the Yacht club scene so your best bet is probably to hit the strip in Waikiki. Good people watching and lots of things to do. Good Luck!

If you arrive at 10pm and leave again at 5 am you'll be hard up to find some place that you can party at in that time frame since clubs are not near the airport area, you'll have to catch a cab, AND you'll have to claim your luggage and take it with you since there are no locker facilities available and the airport will not store your luggage over night if you are not connecting to another flight. I'm sorry to say but your best bet is to get a room at the airport hotel and get some rest or hang out in the airport bar.

Good luck and happy travels!

If you only have a few hours, I'd suggest Duke's Barefoot Bar located in the Outrigger Canoe Club Hotel. It's right on the beach. They have great burgers and seafood. However, the cab ride from the airport will cost you at least $30 each way. The airport doesn't have anything close by.

Oceans Club is closed now, so dont go to Restaurant Row. Pipeline, Venus, and O-Lounge are local clubs with tourist here and there. The clubs in Waikiki have more tourists, such as Zanzabar (Kuhio Street). The W Hotel (2885 Kalakaua Street) is more of a high end club if you like that. Moose's (310 Lewers) is a heavy tourist bar, and the Yard House (also on Lewers) is a nice bar with a nice mix of people. If you want to see local guys/girls, or a mixture of guys/girls from all around, these are some of your choices.

I visited Honolulu in May '06. It was the most fantastic trip I've ever taken. As I was traveling with my teenage son we did not hit any bars. However, I do warn you that there are those they pry off of strangers and theft is either the 1st or 2nd highest crime. We actually witnessed a man try to walk off with this couples bag and this handsome buff man ran and tackled him down. Point, don't leave your valuable belongings laid around. We ate at a steak house next to the Sheraton Princess hotel it started with a "C". Excellent restaurant and it had a bar. Have fun!!!

You could go here for dinner, but I'm not sure how late they are open? It's not too far from the airport.

I think the Ocean Club closed down in September.

Restaurant Row, Downtown Honolulu only about 5 or 6 miles from airport, clubs & restaurants, I think most restaurants only serve food 'til 10 or 11pm but maybe some 'til 1am most places close at 11pm or 2am ~ http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=Restaurant+Row+Honolulu

I don't know of any clubs, but just wanted to let you know that cabs are very pricey there. I wouldn't be surprised if it cost you $30 to get a club and it's not even very far.
