tur b - you need to read a little history. They have always been anti-jew and herded them and murdered them 1,000 years before the Nazi's were even born.

Get your facts straight.

The name you picked tells me a lot. You choose to be everything that Jesus asked us not to be. You sound as if you are a judge mental, hypocritical, fearful, unhappy individual who loves to look at the past and keep hate going. If I was a Catholic I would be very embarrassed to have you representing the religion I believed in. The past is the past, is history. I lived it, so I feel that I can see "trouble" when I read questions that are wanting people to think your way.
I guess that you are quite an unhappy person, and the only thing that makes you happy, is dissention and hate.
I am not a Jewish person, not a Catholic, but I look at people with an agenda, with sadness and forgiveness. I suggest you try and CHANGE YOUR THINKING and think LOVE instead of hate.

It could be one among many links.

To tur b - The "Church" blamed Jews for stealing the first born of Christians and killing them. They were blamed for "witchcraft". They were blamed for sooo many things from the beginning of the Church that's it not even funny... including the death of Jesus. (and still are blamed for such... but crucifixion was a ROMAN sentence... not a Jewish one. And only those who were proven to be traitors to ROME got crucifixion... not Jewish Rabbi's... not just simple thieves, etc....) All of this within the very beginning of the Roman Catholic Church. Stop and think about this... Catholic back then meant "Universal"... how in the hell is it ROMAN if it's Universal????? It's a crock and a lot of people fell for it!

I have to agree... some people really need to read History... Not just what is handed to them and told "this is True". I swear I think some people are living with the Dark Age mindset!

well - revelations 2:9 teaches -"I KNOW YOUR WORKS, AND TRIBULATION AND POVERTY, (BUT YOU ARE RICH) AND I KNOW THE BLASPHEMY OF THEM WHICH SAY THEY ARE Ysrayl (Israel) AND ARE NOT, BUT ARE THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN"

so, the anti-semitism is wider than just the catholics - it is the whole christian body .. there was no link between the Catholic Church and the Nazis - because the Nazi concentrations camps were full of Catholic priests.

and by history, you mean your version of history? so many Catholics died because of the Nazi, and the anti-semite that is known through-out history is Hitler and Martin Luther. seems like you're picking your own story.

and to Tyr's Own --- same goes to you.

Rabbi Israel Zolli was chief rabbi of rome in the second great war,and later converted to catholicism and took the christian name of Eugenio the christian name of Pope Pius XII on discovering how much the pope did, to try and save the jews.

Is that in your history book ?

Is the Roman Catholic Church anti-semitic ?
