you cannot be a slave to yourself... and as for being a slave to your flesh.... you have to eat... you have to drink.... you have to move around... you have to procreate... that's not being a slave that's having a life... so while the christians are running around preaching reward after death... even whey you are dead you wouldn't be able to know if you are saved.. cause there is no life after death... Saved... that term comes from a prophecy... about a man who would give us information that would destroy religion... so as the world waits for this man to save them... you are right we can save ourselves..... can you kick the guy who says we are slaves to our flesh for me... that is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard... that' s the true color of christianity isn't it... making what makes life worth while a sin.... no wonder you all want to die.... This is life... drink , eat, move around, take care of yourself... we have no choice because that is life... might as well enjoy it while you are here...

religions are a form of slavery

The Bible teaches that people are a slave to that which they serve. You can either serve the sinful desires of your flesh or you can serve the Holy God of Heaven.

While many religions seek to control people and enslave them to their man made doctrines, true Christianity sets people free to do what their Creator made them to do.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

you can't give yourself salvation Jesus can but
1Co 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
and
Rom 6:20-23
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
and in Gal 5:1-6
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

You can't save yourself...keep trying.

A payment has to be made for your sin. A payment you can't make. Only God can make that atonement. He did that by sending His Son Jesus.

For salvation: you must repent of your sin, accept Jesus, believe that He died for your sin, rose from the grave and sits at the right hand of the Father.
