It's okay, as long as it doesn't go too far.

P.S. Don't listen to all those people saying no, they probably don't know how lonely some people can get. BTW, I have tons of imaginary friends!!!

Wow.
You should see a shrink sometime, sweetheart.
For the fact that you have an imaginary boyfriend and the fact that you're emo.

Get out some. Enjoy life.
I went through an "emo" stage too.
Until I realized it's ridiculous and theres too many beautiful things in life to be depressed all the time.
Of course you are probably a pre-teen.. so it's normal.
You'll come around.

What is it with all this "emo" crap?

I think instead of regressing as a human being and trying to impress someone who doesnt exist......you should work on trying co-exsist with REAL people...with real lives and real voices and opinions.

Your obviously a teenager because adults dont lable them selves with silly fad personalities.

All I can suggest is....or say....is that the sooner you realize that "emo" is something that teens use to describe themselves when they havnt come into their OWN personality yet the better. Its ok if you havnt....your young and you have time. But I think its like an "emo" rule that you have to be creative and original....and how can you do that if you classify yourself and your personality to be the same as half of the teenage population in the country????? It is very hypocritical and very UN-ORIGINAL (of all "emos")!!!!

Good luck kid! Your high school persona issues will seem like candy land and chutes and ladders when you become an adult....and have to deal with adult issues. Try supporting yourself and paying bills on time.....your problems right now are smalllllllllll fishes in the big ocean of life!

That is normal - but to a limit. I mean, its normal to have imaginary people around you, but like you won't feed them or anything you know? If you do that, then thats when you have really cracked my lady. Its also best for you talk to someone who's flesh and blood once and awhile, ATLEAST interact with someone! You may be emo, but you arent the only one emo in this world! You may have some taste that other people like aswell. Be friends with people. Or just talk and laugh and have fun for awhile.

Who said emos can't have fun!

:)

Well not only is it unnormal to have an imaginary boyfriend but it's also strange to be emo. Not to be mean, but what emo people don't realize is that normal people don't hang with them because they're emo and that's the main reason. So just stop being emo and meet new people.

Normal?
There is no such thing as normal. You're not crazy, retarded, or stupid. We both know that. So why do you care if you want to talk to someone in order to spill your emotions, and why do you want to share this fact with the world?
It's fine that you do this, although I can bet you the majority of the people who answer this questions are going to say it isn't. Take my word for it, you are FINE. You don't have to seek help, as some may say. You don't have to get a real boyfriend, as some others may say. (Although one day you may get a real one).

If you're above the age of 8, it's not normal to have an imaginary anyone. Please go out more and find a real person. You seem nice enough. Get some sun, while you're at it. Maybe an ice cream. Geez.. I don't know. Maybe you could talk to your parents about some therapy. Good luck, okay?

Everybody is different in their own way. I think we have all had atleast one imaginary friend or so. I know I have created imaginary boyfriends to avoid hving to tell a guy I couldnt date him becuz I didnt want to lol.
My suggestion is to start a blog. Anominously though, as in no one knows its yours. There you can create a world of your own and share your feelings and thoughts with yourself and people who stop into there. but they dont know you so it would be like talking with an imaginary boyfriend lol.
So please consider that, you will feel less alone.

Sure, why not.

Usually this caused by an extended stay in the land of matrimony.

Of course you can always email me. Almost as good as an imaginary boyfriend, but a lot less work.

No it is not normal to have imaginary friends. It is a lot easier to have imaginary friends and it is a sign that you are very shy and insecure. It will be pretty important for you to reach out to someone real, who is safe and have a real relationship with them.
