You go to Heaven or Hell as a spirit being. At the resurrection you will be given a "spiritual body" and believers will live in what is basically Heaven on a new earth with God.
1 Corinthians 15:4 And there are celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 Thus also it is written, "The first man Adam became a living soul;" the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, that which is spiritual is not first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual. 47 The first man was from earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 Like the man made of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.
49 And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, let us also bear the image of the heavenly Man. 50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor can corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed-- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And there was no more sea. 2 Then I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having been prepared like a bride having been adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them. 4 And He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying out; neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." 6 And He said to me, " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give from the spring of the water of life freely to him that is thirsty. 7 He that overcomes I shall give to him these things, and I shall be God to him, and he shall be to Me a son.
8 But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all who are false shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

For the wages of sin is death... basically, anyone who has sin has the disease of death, and WILL die.
Jesus had no sin. Therefore, death had no power over Him. The resurection was first off, to fulfill the prophecy. And second, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same.
As Christians, we take comfort in the fact that our God became man, died for our sins, was killed, and was resurrected the third day. The grave could not hold Him. He lives and He sits today at the right hand of God the Father in heaven.
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains in detail the importance of the resurrection of Christ. Some in Corinth did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, and in this chapter Paul gives six disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection: 1) preaching Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2) faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3) all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4) no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5) all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6) Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19). But Christ indeed has risen from the dead and “has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen sleep” (v. 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection.
The inspired Word of God guarantees the believer's resurrection at the coming of Jesus Christ for His Body (the Church) at the Rapture.

I am a Christian, not a denomination of the whole. All Christians will go before the judgement seat of God. The ones that are not Christians are judged already because they have not accepted the Son of God.
As JW will tell you, none of them will be in heaven because only 144,000 will be there and they will be taken from the 12 tribes of Israel. Unless a JW is an Israelite, they say they will not be in heaven. I would hate to be in their shoes with thinking they have no hope.

You have found 1 major problem with this teaching. If you did not die then you would not need the resurection. God even told Adam that he would positively "die" if he eat the fruit. Satan is the one that said that he would not die. When Jesus resurected Lazarus, Lazarus did not say anything about being alive somewhere else, and it would have been cruil of Jesus to take his friend away from heaven and bring him back to this imperfect world.

The Churches ignore the resurrection.
Those who are resurrected are resurrected in the final hour, and not after they die.
John 5:28-29
28 "Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,
29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
Since most translators translate Gehenna, Sheol,Hades the same way, they will often confuse the people who reads the Bible.
Sheol/Hades is just a grave, and those who are righteous go there to wait for their resurrection.
Take Job, he prayed to go there and wait for his resurrection.
Job 14:13-15
13 "If only you would hide me in the She'ol (Grave)
and CONCEAL ME till your anger has passed!
If only you would SET ME A TIME
and THEN REMEMBER ME!
14 If a man dies, will he live again?
All the days of my hard service
I WILL WAIT FOR MY RENEWAL TO COME.
15 You will call and I will answer you;
you will long for the creature your hands have made.
As for Gehenna, people go there to be destroyed, not preserved.
Revelation chapter 20 tells us that death and Hades will be thrown into the Lake of Fire.
Revelation 20:14
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Thats spiritual Israel, not literal. Those tribes in Revelation 7 aren't even literal tribes

good question You, (your soul and spirit) are going to be reunited with your body once again and your body will be changed to original (before sin) and your body will not get sick any more..
Meanwhile when you die you will go to your eternal destiny and also wait for the resurrection (if you went to heaven)
Judgment day if for the unbelievers and they will be shown why they are guilty, so in that sense it is not a judgment of whether they are guilty or not. They will just be shown why.
Christians had their sins judged on the cross at calvary and they were guilty and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ, so their judgment is over and done.

ask the authors it's not my myth anyway . churches are in business and businesses lie to stay afloat. Most of it is rather carefully contrived ploys and tactics to indoctrinate and control the people but of course if god were the real author it would not so flawed as is the world in which we live both ideologically and biologically. As humanity becomes collectively and cummulatively more knowledgeable there will be more improvements and better understandings. And evenutally heaven and hell on this planet will make more sense also.

We don't go to heaven or hell right after we die. Angeles take our soul to a place where all soul are kept in sleep. In Quran it is called BARZAGH. So we all will be resurrected to be taken in front of God for our accountability.
Only the soul of Prophets and Messengers of God are taken straight to heaven without any accountability because they are rightly guarded by Angeles during their emtire life on earth. Thus they are innocent and get to be in heaven right after their death.
It is very sad and sinful for those who keep accusing Prophets and Messengers of God for sins that they never
commited. Such people will be punish for their false accusations.
Also the Martyrs who give their lives obeying and serving God or fighting to defend their religion and for freedom of their country.

To my understanding resurection will be a sort of recompense for all the faithfull to Jesus Christ and the Father. All the faithfull will be able know what the perfect world God had in plan for us from the begining.

It's a little hard to explain.
It might be better if you type that into a search purpose of the reseurection and you might find better answers.
Most Catholics rely on the Priest for teaching and don't study on their own..or so I have heard.
