I am 14 years old and am interested in converting to catholicism (from christianity even though its spelled wrong). Is it possible for a 14-year old to convert with parents permission. Also, are the classes mandatory?

Yes, you are old enough to join the Catholic Church.

Yes, classes are mandatory.

If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

With love and prayers in Christ.

I don't know if it is possible to convert to Catholic with parent's permission but I am really happy when you really want to be a Catholic. I was born Catholic myself since my parents are. :)

I would assume you could convert to any religion at any age that you are mature enough to fully understand it. Don't be a part of a religion that you do not feel is right for you. Explore differnt beliefs and chose which is best for you, or none at all. It's your life.

You should be able to convert at any age. You will have to go through classes. Contact your local Catholic church for more info.

first, Catholicism is Christianity. even an infant can become a Catholic, that is, if the infant is blessed enough to have Catholic parents.

Hahaha.

Sorry; love, I don't know.

I converted from Christianity to atheism at 12, and my parents don't even know.

To me, the more important thing, is taking on the new beliefs, and REALLY believing them. As for the technical stuff, I don't feel that it means a whole lot, to me.

Do you have any adult (confirmed) Catholics that you can go to? You will need a sponsor, I think. Go to them and ask them for help converting. It will help them in their faith also.
