All religions speak of god though they ascribe different qualities to the same god and differ vastly on the method of approach to God and the purpose of creation , th epresent life and after -life dependng ion their respective cultures. the diffeenrces in the philosphies of the various religious groups is the result of the diffence in the culture of the society to which the person who created the religioins ion thenameo God , belonged .so there will e no meaning in comparing the natue of the/gods of the different religions and to assert like the Christians that Jeus is only god and true God etc.this assertion is also based ont ehcultue opf the people who have propagated and accepted that religions. The essentisl character of humilityu whis is the nuresery bed of divintiy is lacking in many religions .that claim superiority over all others in the universe .It is such an attitude that creates all thetroubles oinmteh whole world ..If all the religions do their dutyies fatithfully towards our society and toward the universe , ther ewon't be any problem if the duty thaty mean ois the same for all thereligions .but that is not the case .According to chritianity , it is the duty of the believer to bring the rest of the world to thier faith .so also in the case of Islam , it is the duty of the eliver to bring the enire world to accept islam by theread of sword or the levy of Jizia th epenalty of protection money to the Muslims/Muslim state. So they think that it is their duty to inverfere wit the lives of all thepeople in the world by hook or crook so that their influence of the world would grow and the swell the the coffers of the snurches snd mosques through the tythes .the preiests can lead a lcomfortable life that Jesus in whose name the priests enjoy all the domforts( including sex of all varieties ) that Jeus could nt even imagine . could not even imagine . so ther should be some common definition of what is duty and service .Service for the christians oisprimarily converseion and again intrusion ointh elifves of others persistently . so thee duties snd services won't e acceptable to allw ho want to thnk independently , like the Hindus and this results in clashes between the religious groups , so threis no use talking about these thnbgks with out arrivaing at what they mean byt their duty and and service Evn duties ar used as bribes for conversion just like the politicians use g=free gifts as bribes for securing votes .A DISPASSIONATE SERVICE WIHTOUT EXPECTAION OF ANY RETURN IS WHAT IS CALLED A SACRED DUTY ( BHAGAVAD -GITA )
If all religions agree to this principle thre won't e any problems among he religions .But that is not the case and Christinity and islam would not accept it as heir scriptures teach them differently about duty and service .Foir them there can be no duty or ervice without any return - bringing the receiver to their Gods. Their duty is to bering all people to their Gods.. .

I think that religion is unnecessary, that people can be good with or without religion. I would divide religious followers into 3 parts.
(1) People who believe in their religion but don't take everything in their religion too literally, but use the general principles of their religion to help them become a better person. I think this can be a good thing for many people.
(2) People who take things too much to the extreme, and they probably don't have as fulfilling lives as they could because they are so concerned with following rules, many of which have nothing to do with being a good person.
(3) People who take things too much to the extreme, but instead of focusing on themselves and what they could do to improve themselves and society, they want to force everyone to believe and follow what they do. These are the people who cause wars and ruin our world - the Islamic terrorists and fundamentalists, right wing Christian fundamentalists, etc.

The time period, until eventually distorted by well-known television, change into used more suitable to describe ignorant, racist human beings. i'm from a rural area and proceed to exist a airborne dirt and mud highway, grew up on a farm, actually no longer a redneck. I opt to be referred to as Southern, yet i'm from the south. in simple terms the time period redneck initiatives negativity, call him some thing else.

Most religions have something good to contribute. Otherwise no one would follow them. Yes, we should learn from all faiths.

Why one should know about all religions? In which ever religion you believe is best. All are good and one should believe in non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi experimented with truth and achived what he visualised. Do your duties TRUTHFULLY.

One big problem. You cannot believe in all religions. They contradict each other. Only one works. You can choose to believe in God or you don't. What you just said does not work.
