Pro-E is for mechanical parts and 3-d objects, and Autocad is better suited for stuff like highway design and site development.

Pro-E = mechanical engineering
Autocad = civil engineering

. . . although my shop uses AutoCAD for electrical floorplans, details, legends, and schedules.
