It's perfectly normal, it just is where the different levels of pigment are. (My dog also has some toenails that are dark and some that are light.)

I have one little Chihuahua, named Romeo, who's coat is Black, Tan and White. All of his nails are white, except 1 nail that is all black and 1 that is half black and half white. If you look at the bottom of his paws, they may also be pink and black! It does not mean their toes are infected. Whoever told you that, got the wrong information. It's perfectly normal! All dogs are different! Honestly, it's nothing to worry about!

Nope. Not infected. That's perfectly normal. One of my dogs has all black toe nails except for 1 white one on each foot. There's nothing wrong with that at all.

yes its normal depending on the dog. some dogs have all black toe nails, some have all white, and some have both. look at his pads. i bet some of them are black and some are pink. the person that told you it meant the toes were infected is sadly misinformed.

its completely normal for nail colors to be different, i work in a vet clinic and ive never heard of nail color relating to an infection so i think thats just a myth....most dogs have black nails but if your dog is white it will probably have white nails...its actually easier to trim the nails of a dog with white nails because you can see the vein in the nail so you dont cut them too short, so be happy your dog has some nails that are white!

It is completely fine. It just depends on the pigment color. If it was infected you would notice they were kind of damp, with an unpleasant odor. Just being black and white is not a reason to be concerned.

Now if you DO notice they are damp all the time, have an unpleasant odor, and the dog licks at the paw a lot or doesn't want to put weight on it. Then take to a vet to have a look at it.

It is not infected! The nail colors are like the skin color. If it has a white paw, it's nails are white. If it has black toes, it has black nails. And if it's a mix, it has black& white nails.
It's no big deal. Don't worry!

Don't worry, although it is unusual, it is perfectly normal. I know three dogs with different coloured nails. You're o.k.

If his toes were infected he would have great difficulty walking.
