Because for some stupid reason people aren't satisfied with just following their beliefs and living life in a way that is moral for them. They feel that the only right way to live is to force everyone else to do things exactly how their book (or their interpretation of their book) says they should do things.

It doesn't matter to them if these other people follow a different book or a different interpretation of their book or no book at all. They are 100% sure that their book is right and the others are wrong. But if all of the people who have different books and different interpretations of these books all claim that they are right, we have an impossible situation to resolve. It doesn't help that many of these books tell their readers to try to get everyone else to believe in what the book says.

If everyone could respect each others religion or lack of religion, and realize that religion is a belief that cannot be proven, we would have a lot fewer problems in the world.

Hate is one symptom of Original Sin, when Adam willingly ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Because humanity with Adam as the federal head (or chieftan)fell at the moment of sin, Man became totally corrupt.
That corruption has led to hate.
The only way we will all gt along is when King Jesus returns and the dead are bodily resurrected and His elect shall live in a new Earth and new Heaven.

I don't think the "hatred" on here is really representative of the whole world.

This is an anonymous site and some people feel that gives them the OK to say things they wouldn't ordinarily say in the real world.

Truly, I do not think it is about hate, it is more about making our own little voice heard. I can testify that, if I were to meet many of the wiccans, athesits, hindu, muslim etc in the shopping mall, I would be kind to them. "Getting along" can be reduced to causing no harm or not harassing, most of us do that in life. But in this forum, we identify and seperate ourselves according to our spiritual beliefs. We ask questions here that we do not ask our neighbor, our grocery cashier, our bank teller etc...

Certain people insist on the truth, that there is no god. Others insist on believing a book or two of fairy tales. There is no reason for those who believe in the truth to change to believe in fairy tales just to make peace. It has to be the other way around.

There is tons of hate in this world; it comes from sin within, and Satan without. The only antidote is Christ - the one true and living God.
