What are the potential advantages,the disadvantages over hub and spokes generation as well.

Not sure of your term "distributed Electrical generation".We have distributed electrical generation in New England much of it eminating from the Canadian grid. If hub means a large generating facility and spokes are smaller generating facilities around the hubcertainly that will work. Spokes will start generating power when the hub reaches capacity. Such a proposal will be studied for CT.
