becuase its human instinct that they take acute problems as more devastating than the chronic ones. May be they can see actue ones happening around them.

Ok, did you happen to notice that our weather patterns are changing? High concentrations of C02 in the atmosphere,can actually change the jet streams or El Nino when El Nino is extreme enough it can effect two thirds of the globe with droughts, floods and extreme weather,this cycle has been dissrupted twice,once in 1977 and once in 1998 and if you look at the records there was a crazy turn in weather at those two times these cycles can last from 2 to 8 years.
