Okay here is what happened to my dog.

Okay I switched my dogs food to Purina because he wasn't eating his Beneful. I slowly converted him to it by mixing half and half but I guess he really liked it or something because her finished the entire bowl in less than 30 seconds. Now my dog has horrible diareah and I don't want to take him to the vet because he is not a puppy so it won't affect him as much (we give him plenty of water) plus its 9 right now and the vet closed. My mom said to give him rice becasue that will help stop it and it did, but it wore off...

The rice helps because of the starch or something in it.... anyone know anything else?

First if you love your dog,
Purina is crap (excuse the pun, ha!)
Try nutro natural choice,
get the one that matches your dogs breed.
you'll notice a significant difference.
tricks of the trade, get a can of the same
dry food and mix in a spoonful,
broil a chicken/breast and baste the kibble with it, try apples and pears as well.
to solidify his stool also try baby food
(make sure it has no onions in it)
or yogurt with the kibble and lots of water
to rehydrate him
