Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Something that we as humans can't even fathom.

Gonna step out on an existential limb here... We know of simple truths. We know that water is wet. We also know that getting hit by a bus could kill you. An "absolute truth" to me means that it is something so elemental that even we, in our learned lives, can't even really know for absolute certainty that we are correct because their is nothing to absolutely prove it completely right and not simply an educated assumption. Hope that was not confusing...

An absolute truth example right off the top of my head... As a Christian, I know (personally, not including every other Christian I know:-) that a divine entity (namely God) created the earth and everything in it. I have never seen God. I have never heard Him speak to me loud and clear, in his own voice, from his very own physical body. I don't have any ABSOLUTE data that proves scientifically, physically or any other "ically" that would prove without a doubt to EVERYONE that saw it that my knowledge was flawless and undeniable. I am operating on faith that what I know is basically an absolute truth but I have no absolute proof. So for me its an implied truth in my own sphere, but does not apply as a truth to anyone else.

That make it clear as mud?

Jesus. He is the Word (John 1:1-4). And He is the way, the TRUTH and the life...(John 14:6). The Bible is the Word of God, so you can also say the Bible is the Absolute Truth.

Word Himself IS the absolute TRUTH!

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same ( Jesus) was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same (John) came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light that was the TRUE Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He (Jesus) was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (Born from above, or Born again.) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and TRUTH.

Absolute Truth can not be determined by man . It is , whether we believe it or not. Like the man who says, "I don't believe in God" I respond , " Does God believe in you.

Our belief of disbelief has no effect on absolute truth.

It is appointed once for man to die and then the judgment. There is an afterlife.

As soon as you define it, it stops being absolute truth.

Jesus Christ: "I am the way, the truth and the life". God's Word is absolute truth, and Jesus Christ was "the Word" -John 1.

Whatever God actually says is by definition absolute truth. The trouble is knowing exactly what that is.

A young man once set out on a journey to find the secret of life. He travelled for thousands of miles over many countries looking for a holy man who could answer his questions. Finally, after crossing the last sea and climbing the last mountain, he found his holy man sitting at the summit with a serene expression on his face.

"Holy man, I've crossed the last sea and climbed the last mountain to find you," the young man declared. "I must ask you, do you know the secret of life?"

The holy man looked calmly at him and replied "Yes, I know the secret."

After a long pause the young man finally asked "Well? What is it?"

The holy man happily replied "Life is just a bowl of cherries."

The young man started ranting and raving, shouting "I came all this way to see you! I cross the last sea and climb the last mountain and all you have to say to me is 'life is just a bowl of cherries'?!"

The holy man smiled quietly and said "Fine, life is *not* a bowl of cherries."
