Here to the religionists believes that have corner on positive attitude.

I am an atheist and disabled. I have a lot of medical problems. 7 years ago I had an accident and injured my neck. That and the osteoarthritis of the cervical vertebrae (actually the entire spine with the worse in the cervical vertebrae and lumbar) keeps me in intense pain. I take 3 different pain medications for it and the maximum at that. My doctor told me she will put me on morphine if what I am taking isn't working. Well I do get a little relief for a short time then the pain comes back. That's the way it is every day. When the rains come the medication I'm on doesn't stop the pain. Besides that I have high blood pressure which doesn't bother me but it's not good. I also have severe sleep apnea which causes me to be fatigued most all of the time (I believe that is the cause of the high blood pressure). Because of my medical problems I have been unable to work for years and have lost everything I had (I didn't have medical insurance when I had the accident). I have NOT been depressed because of my problems. Nor do I have a problem with my attitude because of my medical problems. I get my strength, positive attitude from thinking rationally, logically and scientifically. I have no fear of death or life. The problems I have are not going to kill me “right away.” I do suffer yet still make the best of each day since I know that this is the one and only life I will have. I am working on a book and may finish my degree online.

Yes I have taught my son the same. To be independent, rational, logical and scientific in his thinking. To make the best of this one and only life he will have.

This life is NOT a dress rehearsal.

There is satisfaction to be found in living life with integrity, in working hard, in attending to the details of one's daily work, in helping those less fortunate, in spending time with loved ones, in communing with nature, in exercising these wonderful bodies we were born with.

The ones who fear death the most are the ones who have lived the least.

It's easier to remain positive knowing that every day is one of a precious few. In those precious few we need to be all we can be and treat others as we wish to be treated... life is too short to be unkind.

I will let my children decide what religion she is going to choose. Religion is the individuals choice. People shouln't be pressured to pick. Everyone has that right.

You live your life to the fullest NOW knowing you don't go to a magical tea party in the sky.

This question could only be asked by a Christian, and only serves to illustrate how one-dimensional your life must be. Happiness exists in realms outside of religion, which you will never understand if you live your life under the blanket of a constrictive, out-dated ideology.

You have hope for a good and long life. Live your life to the best of your ability. Have fun when you can, be good to yourself, your family and your neighbors. You have a life to live, live it well.

Atheists have hope after they die, they just don't know it. But, if they have led a good and moral life, our good, and very moral God will treat them right. Some people have trouble finding an image of God, that works for them, God will not hold this against them, God has no ego problem.

"How did you come to your conclusions? Do you feel satisfied and content with yourself?
If you do, why do you some of you seem to mock others for their beliefs?" --good day
