I reallly need help getting rid of my lice. I've been having them for like 2 and a half years now. They are such a nuisance!! I'm only 11 but my parents told me to post this for answers. Unfortunetly, I know more about modern day technology than my parents lol. Well, most of you might be thinking..."eww how gross you have lice, filthy person!!" WRONG!! Anyone and everyone can get lice. No matter how clean or dirty you are. You can be someone living in a dumpster to the president's child. You have the same chance of getting lice, as any other person out there. So yeah, help me and my family :] Please!

Lice usually is a problem for people who are fastidious! If your your hair is extremely clean without any oil the lice can attach their eggs to the hair shaft... if the hair is dirty and oily the egg will not attach! So being "dirty" is not the problem.
First you need to address the problem you have. Use a lice shampoo to kill the living lice.... Then a lice comb that will pull out the eggs. Wash all of your bedding in hot water. Wash all the clothing you recently used in hot water.
Be sure all your family is lice free. Now then. Do NOT share hat's, clothing, brushes or combs with any of your friends. Notify your school that there is a lice outbreak. Typically anyone identified as having lice can not return to school until they are lice free.

Well, I know anyone can gets lice, but it usually orginates from someone with poor hygene. I have to ask why have you had it for two years and never gotten rid of it.
At the drug store or walmart you can buy medicated shampoo to kill the lice. I dont know what its called today but when I was lil it was Nix. So you use the shampoo. The kit will come with a special comb that you will then need to go through your hair with - very carefully and very thoroughly - to pull out the eggs that are attached to your hair. You will need to repeat this process a couple times, once a week, until the lice and eggs are completly gone. For a light infestation may only take a couple. For a heavy infestation, may take several treatments. You will need to do the treatment for everyone in the house. You will also need to wash/sanitize (hot water and bleach) all bedding, and bath towels. Thoroughly vacuum all the carpets, beds, and furniture. You will need to keep this extra house cleaning up til infestation is completly gone from everyone in house.
Good luck

Yes you are right that anyone can get lice...but you have to be thorough to get rid of them. You have to make sure everyone in the family is using the shampoo, more than once, until they are gone. Use the special comb to get all the lice eggs, nits i think they are called. Make sure you comb every strand from the root. Disinfect the bedding....wash in hot water and put all your stuffed animals in trashbags and tie them up so the bugs can not get out.

i had lice for over a year when i i was 15. u have to go to the pharmacy and pick up the shampoo. the reason i had it so long was because my boyfriends niece had them and his family wouldnt do anything. so id get rid of them then go to his house where she lives and get them again. you need to stay away from whoever is affected with them. wash all ur clothes bedding items in the washer with hot water. comb all of the eggs out. make sure u vaccum the floor and everytthing is clean. if u want do another treatment in a couple of days, but make sure all the eggs are out of ur hair.

Go to wal-mart or rite-aid or any store that sells shampoo. You need to look for lice treatments, and shampoo. Just shampoo won't do it. Don't spend too much money on it, as all products are the same. Good luck.

i would go to the doctor and have it checked out and they will tell you what to do, they might perscribe something, or just tell you to go to the store and buy the shampoo and special comb. but is this a reoccurring problem, or have you never had this treated? and are you positive that its lice and not dandruff?

Have your parents take you to the doctor. Then follow the doctors advice precisely. It may be in your skin and require oral medication to clear it all up. Good luck!
