A couple of Halloweens ago, the news was showing somebody who had an enormous pumpkin grown in his field. They went on to say that pumpkin is really "a berry on steroids". I think it looks like a gourd, myself.
But whether berry or gourd, it is in fact a fruit.
Now off to roast some pumpkin seeds!
P.S. If the seeds are actually inside the flowering part of the plant, such as a potato plant or celery etc., it's a veggie.

Anything with seeds in it is a fruit. That includes pumpkins, peppers, tomatoes, and yes, okra.

Neither it is a squash and okra i'm not sure about because i usually have it fried or in some other dish. But i believe that they both can be counted as fruits as well.

Pumpkins, believe it or not, are technically a berry. So they would be considered fruit.
Although the pumpkin is botanically classified as a fruit (the ripened ovary of a flowering plant), it is widely regarded as a vegetable.
