I'm considering being open to the thought of a higher power (God), but I've just got one problem. I'm bisexual. Will your God deny me a ticket to heaven because of my sexual orientation?

Thanks, but I didn't mean to call my sexuality a problem. I'm very proud of it. I don't want to change things, I just wanted to know if I would be accepted as a bisexual.
And sorry for not asking all religions this question, I just assumed Christians would know best about this topic, it being their religion and all.

When you become a Christian, you will start wanting to please God. If you truly desire God, that is. When I truly started desiring to seek God, I realized that my behavioral habits started to change.
You will still go to Heaven as a born-again Christian, but the idea is not to think about "what I can get away with", but rather you should think as a Christian "what can I do to please God". If you decide to give your life to Jesus you will know what I mean then.
Please do not think of Christianity as a lawbook. It may seem that way because of the Old Testament. But we don't live under the law any longer. We don't have to live with the guilt of sin. While sin is still sin and still wrong, we can ask for forgiveness and continue onwards. I tell people again and again. Christianity is a *relationship* not a set of laws / religion.
Romans 10:12-13
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
If you have ANY further questions at all about Christianity feel free to send me an email.

God does not deny you a ticket into heaven because of any sin- not just sexual orientation- however He will deny you into heaven, if you and everyone of us does not repent of whatever sin we have- Christ died on the cross to give us more than just a ticket to heaven - When I first became a Christian I thought I was just being saved from hell- but now I realize that I have been saved from myself, saved from a life of slavery to sin, and the life I have is lived for God's glory- this does not mean that I do not ever sin again, but it does mean that I will immediately go to God and repent of that sin. When anyone comes to God , he/she must give up their right to do what they desire and follow Him. We cannot continue to sin, and be a truly born again believer- you can believe in God and still not be a Christian. Satan believes in God- however he will never be in heaven.

Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Is 55:5,6

This is the thing with God. So many people believe they have to be "right" to come to God. Thats so not true. You go to God and he will make you right. The closer you get to Him, he will show you want he wants in your life and what he doesn't want.
God Bless!

I think if you don't rub it in God's face, as if you deserve a place in heaven in spite of this...I'm divorced and remarried, I am in the same boat as you.
Orientation is one thing, behavior is totally something else.
Do you want a place in heaven?
Peace

If you are not repentant, then yes. Both homosexuality and fornication (the acts) are forbidden by New Testament scripture. However, the same scripture makes it *very clear* that Christians who *used* to be involved in such activities are welcome. Even if Christians don't want to accept former bi-sexuals, scripture commands us to do so.

If you have to ask, what do you think?
He is God--not Our God, your God, He is God.
God is everything that IS love and good and clean and pure.
I think if you want to know if He is satisfied, you need to ask Him.
He will DEFINITELY tell you--prob'ly before you even finish asking.
He LOVES YOU.
He MADE you.
He KNEW you before you were born.
He numbered the hairs on your head.
ALL happiness, joy in your soul, PEACE in your heart, and total contentment--comes from pleasing God.
Ask Him to help you with your 'problem'.
You DID call it a problem, right?
CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING.
You don't HAVE to stay 'bi' if you don't want to.
Just say, "I am NOT a bi-sexual!"
