I'm currently fighting depression and health issues related to the fact that I am transsexual. I can't find a job easily because of my health issues, and so I have a hard time getting money... without money, I can't buy the stuff I need to help myself, and I can't pay for therapy or the gas to get there. I feel trapped in a body I find disgusting, and that plus the idea that it's hopeless has left me severely depressed. The depression makes my health issues worse, and thus, it really is a vicious cycle.

However, there are transsexuals who get killed for being who they are, or kill themselves because it gets so bad. I'm thankfully not at such a point. Though recently, the money issues have gotten to the point where we don't HAVE money to buy food and we don't HAVE money for the rent, so both of those things could soon be gone. Still... for now, it's still here, I'm not starving and homeless yet.

There's always someone out there with bigger problems. That doesn't mean our problems are meaningless, just that we should appreciate what we do have. I, personally, am thankful for every day I wake up alive, with a roof over my head and food in the fridge. It could always be much, much worse.

I'm gay and face discrimination and I can't find a girlfriend...no it does not compare to the problems of people living in third world countries and I understand that, I'm not starving to death or anything. I'm grateful for the things that I do have. But I still think I'm allowed to feel sorry for myself every once in a while. Good question by the way!

My biggest problem right now is that I am going through a job change. How does that compare to the problems of those in a third world country? I don't know, are you talking about the elite in the puppet regimes that our government supports? Or are you talking about the working class in those countries, or are you talking about the one's whose food was eaten by Sally Struthers? My problems are small compared to a GREAT many, but since I am the one experiencing them, they seem large to me.

That is so strange that you ask that question...I have PRP and I was feeling miserable today and then I saw a pic of these people, without decent water,,,some just sitting in the heat with no where to go and probably no food for that day and probably the next.....

It doesn't compare at all...If I had this skin disorder in one of those countries,,I would not be able to stand it...I sit her in my air conditioned house, watching TV and eating good food,,,and know there is more where that come from...It would be like comparing Heaven to Hell...

I don't know how they keep going...I hope there will be a special place in Heaven,,reserved for those who suffered so much here on Earth...

Um, my biggest problem is that I have no real plans for tonight. I want to do something, but there's nothing to do. A whole city and I can't think of a damn thing to do.

I realize how petty that is compared to someone in a third world country. :o(

My biggest problem is not being able to pay my bills and thinking I might end up having to drag my children to a shelter because I can't afford my house and my husband left. He calls every day though to tell me how his day is going and to see what we are doing, not if there is anything he can do.

And yes, this is similar to the hopelessness / helplessness that someone in a third world country because you don't miss what you don't have. I miss having steady income, I miss feeling secure about my livelihood, but not know. I think this is how they might feel as well.

Getting a repairman out to fix the Auto Feeders in the horse stables... I bought the auto feeder for the convience without thinking about living so far out in the middle of nowhere that repairs would be a challenge..

In comparison to people in 3rd world countries who worry about where their next meal will come from etc. my horse feeder problem is simply an annoyance..

While it does put a kink in my daily schedules and cause me to have to adjust, in the big scheme of things it's nothing and will be fixed soon... Unlike the problems of people in the 3rd world...

But it still drives me nuts I had feeding 6 horses down to the push of 3 buttons and weekly hopper refills :(
