just don't display that hate in any form and nothing will happen to you

Nothing much, except you'll probably live your life alone, wretched and hating ghosts. Because even after they're dead, you'll still hate them for what they did to you. You'll still hate the world for giving you a life for which you never asked. So, you'll just end up being eaten up by hate from the inside out. Your mouth will be set in a permanent from. You'll have lines around your eyes. Children will run away from you when they see you. You'll cry alone at night. You'll feel completely lethargic and apathetic to everyone and everything. You'll wish for Armageddon.

why do you hate them? If it is for a valid reason probably nothing and time will take care of the hate and you may realize they did the best they could with what they had. Who knows but give it a rest for awhile and maybe things will calm down.

Focus on making yourself a better person. If your parents have negative characteristics, make sure you don't share these characteristics. Use prayer/meditation, mind-body exercise and a good diet, to make yourself a stronger character, so that you can make yourself, a better person than your parents. Try to get along with your parents, despite how you feel, since in life, one will have to continuously get along with people, who are not very nice.

They will seek to disenfranchise you financially but worse they will alienate subsidiary relatives of whom you may be fond, for example, cousins, nephews, uncles, etc. They are in a position to make any claim regarding your conduct and values with complete credibility. I would opt for minimal and merely civil contact rather than a hostile break you may regret.

I guess you will be missing out on a large part of your family, and miss what could have been a parent/son relationship.
If not reconciled you will also deprive your children of their grandparents.
But only you can decide if it is worth keeping a grudge.
