Why didn't any of Mohammed followers stop him from marrying and molesting a 9 year old?

Or is that normal in Islam? After all the Taliban encouraged marrying off girls as young as 8,so perhaps child molestation is the norm in Islam.

All those saying it was normal in other cultures at the time,get a clue please. It's never been normal in any society except Islam for an older man to marry a 9 year old,ever. Only in Islam is this sort of thing even tolerated,such as under the Taliban,and in Iran. Where Islam is followed in it's purest form it is an oppressive,vile ideology. Those that follow a watered down version of Islam that allows them to believe it to be a "religion of peace" are fine,but those who follow what it really is at its core have no place in civilized society.

Oh I think some of them wanted to, but like many Muslims today they had the attitude that to object to any kind of terrorism in not their job. Oh I know many Muslims condemn terrorism or so they say. But their silence in America is Deafening!!!

The girl you are referring to was Aisha and she was in fact his fav wife. According to Muslim Clerics throughout the world their marriage was consummated when Aisha was 9 or 10 years old. The practice continues today in Asian Islamic Cultures. Does this give you a clue how evil this religion is?

EDIT: The late Ayatollah Khomeini(former Head of Iran) wrote two marriage manuals in which he stated that females should have their first menstrual period in the home of their husbands. The Ayatollah had two wives and consummated the marriage to both when he was around 28 and they were prepubescent(little girls).

i understand your question. uve accused muhammad of mollesting/ abusing a nine year old girl.
I have read about the charecter of Muhmmad and throughout history it is said that even the non muslim ppl respected his manner and morals. The quran also describes his manners as beautiful.
The woman at that time were ill-treated, direspected and brutally tormented. And Islam is against all that. Islam brought many rights to woman that they did not have (ex: inherit property and marrige with their consent and their choice.)
Now we can agree that mollesting a nine year old is child abuse. But is it right to accuse Muhammad of such a crime?
Well researching hadith it is found that he would race with Aisha. The first time she won and the second he did. This is one evidence that shows muhammad played with Aisha and she had fun with him. Other reports say that she used to play with dolls and the prophet would smile at her and let her play. This shows the man's mercy toward her.
And here is a touching part when he was dying he was lying against Aisha's chest this shows their love. And when she was asked about his behavior toward her it is found that her response described the love he gave to her.
If you look at these descriptions the hadith and history you will see that you cannot accuse muhammad of such a crime. And since he did not commit child abuse or mollestication (if thats a word!) then thats why his followers didnt stop him. Muhammad did not commit a crime.

The first pillar of Islam is there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet. Defaming Moh's name is punishable by death. So how could anyone denounce his marriage to a child.

The reality is marrying young girls predated Islam in Mohammad's community and,on a historical level is not unique to those countries or muslims. Mohammad just codified it in law with his "revelations"

Muhammad was seen as having a special relationship with God (Allah) by his followers. What they didn't realize is that Muhammad received his strength and powers from Satan, not God. But to answer your question, that is why they didn't try to stop him.

It was normal in that society for teenage boys to marry teenage girls. It has NEVER been normal in ANY culture (except Islam) for a 50+ year old man to marry a pre-pubescent female. --- that is what muslim apologists (such as Catherine E: VT above) won't tell you

When Mohammed married the nine year old, not only was it normal in Islam, but it was normal amongst all cultures all over the world. It was very common at that time for people to marry children. (Either marry them, or marry two children to each other.)
