These allergies are terrible, I used to sing and can no longer do so. I would really like to get back into it but its very hard to sing and breathe through your mouth at the same time. Sometimes i feel like Im going to faint. Is there any remedy that will work really quickly so I can get back into singing or breathing comfortably at all?

Do decongestants help?

You probably need to consult an allergist.

There are two parts of the equation in developing allergic reaction. First is the susceptible person, next is the presence of allergen that would trigger the reaction. The person's susceptibility is innate and we can't do anything. We can modify it though. The triggers or allergens needs to be identified and eliminated or reduce exposure from it. To identify, a doctor can do an allergy test in which a panel of allergens is tested. Then he will decide if you can undergo immuno-therapy. Now with the present condition, you may need an anti-inflammatory drug. The topical steroids may not work very well now, but i think you need a systemic steroids in order to control your allergic reaction. All these decision should have a doctor's consultation so the proper medications will be given to you.

go to your doctor and ask for "allergy de-synthesizing shots"
it slowly gets your body to adjust so it is less reactive to allergies
i had really bad allergies to the point that i need to stay home from school for 2 weeks at the worst season. Now with the shots, it feels very different. This is a pemanent solution
I didnt take any decongestents or the things which u spray into ur nose because I was getting nose bleeds sometimes 12 times a day.

You might have nasal polyps, which allergic people often develop, or your turbinates might be overgrown. But you'll have to see an allergist and/or ENT to get an examination and/or allergy testing.

The doctor can give you steroids for short-term relief so you can breathe while they are figuring out a long-term solution.

Go to an allergist and get tested for your specific allergies. The Doctor can then give you allergy shots. My daughters allergies had become so bad that she was wheezing on inspiration. Now that she's been getting these injections for the last 2 months, all of her symptoms are gone.

See a doctor. There are nose sprays that help. I use Flonase and have used Nasonex. Both work very well.

Try an over the counter non-drowsy antihistamine. If that doesn't work see a doctor.
