Are you for real? No one abused me but my dad made sure we went. It was the best thing he ever did for me. I loved it. Why would anyone ask such an irrational question? Do people have any common sense anymore? Since when is it abuse to pass your own beliefs down to your own children? If this is considered abuse, it should also be considered abuse to pass atheism down to your children!

The way most of us practice Christianity in America, it's not just the child who might or might not be being abused - however - if School is not abuse then neither is Sunday School.

No, it is not, no more than telling a child that God does not exist.

How is teaching a child that he/she is loved unconditionally abusive? How is teaching a child to treat other people as he/she wants to be treated abusive?

What Hawk says bears repeating:

If it is, lets go ahead and get rid of easter and Christmas.
OH and we better not read them any other fictional stories either since they would fall under that.

While you're at it, you better not deny buying them anything. That could be abusive too. Matter of fact, don't make them do anything. Let'em grow up rule less. Aren't rules abusive?

Matter of fact, let them stay out of school too. We wouldn't want them to learn something they do not want to. Wouldn't want that abuse. Nope!

everybody passes on their ideals, thoughts, traditions to their offspring. that's the main organic factor in the international to do. infants study via copying their mothers and fathers. that's how they're able to talking. the only time abuse could be in touch is while a baby receives older and desires to take a diverse course and is bodily prevented from doing so. The above is actual for each individual, Christians, different religions and persons of no faith in any respect.

Please go out and find what real abuse is and quit asking silly questions.

Good troll question though.

Next people will be saying Baptising a baby is child abuse, give it a rest, it is the parents decision not you

If the child doesn't understand and/or is forced to go because parents believe it's for his benefit, then yes. It would be classified as child abuse.

I think this depends on what they are teaching the child in Sunday School.

Abusive may be too stong of a word, but I have no doubt it is harmful to young minds.
