There is ONE God in three persons; Father/Word=Son/Holy Spirit.
Like YOU, made in His image and likeness: father (actual or potential)/son (if you came from a sperm & egg)/ individual=self.
All true as ONE being in three persons with three distinct functions and purposes.., but YOU. No big mystery.
God is bigger than our mental ability to comprehend but He gave us the trilogy because we, as people living on planet Earth in the third dimension, see the whole by understanding in trilogy: past, present, future; good, better, best; Man is: Spirit, Soul, Body & Soul is: mind, will, emotions. God's people are: Jews, Gentiles, Church. It's just the way it is and we CAN call God God because we don't care what the world defines for us, it doesn NOT APPLY.
God the Father is MY Heavenly Father; Jesus, the Word made flesh is my Savior and Lord in function and obedience and substitute; He is my elder brother in my becoming a child of God through touching His blood by faith and I am joint-heir to ALL He died to give back to me, that the devil/"Lucifer-fallen"=satan stole from Adam. And the Holy Spirit is my guide, comforter, companion & "seal" that I am IN Christ forever and says I am 'marked' as holy and have all power over all the power of the devil in "the name of Jesus". All God, no matter what you think or say.., and sorry about the explanation, but you won't "get it" without it.

It seems you will be perpetually confused because you read the explanation in the Qu'ran. Mohammad didn't understand the concept of the trinity and passed his misunderstanding on to his followers. Surely "Allah" would have understood what the Christians meant by "trinity" -- so this argues against the validity of the claims for the Qu'ran.
