Seas are not parting, Pillars of fire are not guiding people anywhere, People are not surviving in fiery furnaces nor in the belly of a great fish, and the dead, even the faithful dead, are not rising from their graves and returning to their families. And we can't even feed our own planet from abundance, much less 2 loaves and 5 fish.

What makes these different from the tales about an oversized lumberjack and his giant blue ox?

After just finishing a fascinating 24 lecture set on comparative religions it just reaffirmed the fact that almost nothing in the religion is original. Why can't most christians see just how unoriginal their stories are (especially the OT) is really beyond my comprehension..

God seems to have gone from an imminent miracle worker to a has been. If he is still performing miracles (let's just pretend for a minute) they are extremely unimpressive compared to what he seems to have been capable of.

Perhaps as some christians claim a 1000 years is like a day to god. Perhaps jesus is still tired, after all by that horrible logic it has only been 2 days, he is too tired to perform any decent miracles.

He is probably sitting on his cloud couch eating ho ho's watching soaps, drinking malt liquor and waiting for the end times to come..

I happen to know people that have had blatent miracles happen as well as small miracles. God will not jump through hoops!! He'll show Himself to you if you are willing to have a relationship with Him, and when He's good and ready (He's God after all).

Did all the Jews listen to Him when He showed his massive miracles to them while following Moses? No! They outright disobeyed Him. Instead of a trip throuogh the desert that should have taken, what, months at the most- It took them 40 years and He wiped most of them out for backhanding Him and worshiping idols. Not one of the original exodus folk lived to see the promised land bacause of their disobedience.

Paul Bunyon was a fairy tale. If you wish to see God as a fairy tale then that is your perogative. What if He does exist? Would any of us dare tell Him how to do His job?

That's not true. God gave us a living prophet for this day and age..(called the latter days). Go check out the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. God is active in this church. and the reason why the faithful dead haven't risen yet is because it's not the time. The Bible says that it will happen at the time of the Second Coming.

one admits to being a fairy tale... expressing the great feats of certain individuals.. exageration of course included.. the stories of the bible seek to herd humanity into slavery... chosen for their capacity to confuse and misguide so as to keep the humanity ignorant.

You are blind to it. God wants you to be blind so that when you DO see, it will be a mighty thing. (There have been major events in the past 100 years. Google Fatima, miracle of the sun.)

God is more active than you think he is in the lives of many and watching us all He is allowing some things and stopping others .Now as far as miracles go you probably wouldnt belive them anyway so what does it matter
