a lot of people over a LONG period of time.

Most of it covering expansive period of time when only stories were told. (IE is it a lot of verbal traditions, that were later transcribed/written down).

No author pens the same book with minor changes, yet their are two bibles. The catholic and the non-catholic version.
Don't say "god wrote" it cause God doesn't write. Man wrote it .. many men. And they may well be inspired by God, but it was men who wrote the books that got in and men again who decided which books made the cut and which didn't.

God INSPIRED the words that the prophets wrote in the Old Testament. Or prophets would see angels, have revalations and then record them. The New Testament is the Latter WITH the specific teachings of Jesus that was recorded by his disciples.

God Nor Jesus ever picked up a heavenly pen and wrote the Bible. It all went through Man's hands.

There are 40 authors of the books of the Bible. Most of them we know, but there are anonymous writers too. Some of the authors wrote one book, some wrote several.

the bible was taken from prophecy... something like Nostradamus wrote.. except the church used the information and changed the prophecies to change the outcome... that is where the term false prophet comes from... and that is why a lot of prophecies are negative.. because the catholics then the christians kept misleading the human race through the manipulation of information... you woulnd't call Naustrodamus a god... so those who wrote the bible or took advantage of prophets are not gods either... the story of the man Jesus is yet to happen.. it's a prophecy.. he is meant to deliver onto the human race all the evidence that would destroy religion and begin the healing... but the bible's prophecy expresses their intentions regarding the man... they want him dead before he can get the truth out... christ are others who would assist in the man's murder.. that is why the catholic church and christianity run parallel... similar messages... when they say Jesus dies for our sins.. what the christians are doing is justifying his death on behalf of the demons they serve before it happens..... it gets complicated... if he does get to write his story and information it will get more clear... religion is the sin and if this man doesn't get to write if he actually dies then the humans will be made extinct.. the hope is the men expecting to be able to produce eternal life for themselves... have died in the battle called Armageddon... for they get the message of the prophecies before the people involved have been getting it...

The Bible is a library of 66 books written by over 40 different authors, on three continents, in three different languages, over a 1500+ year period. They were men guided by God to write the books in such a way that together they give an accurate and complete picture of who God is and how man can relate to him.

Many of the books bear the names of the authors. Others have unknown authors (such as history books that cover more than one generation, and were compiled by multiple authors during the years).

The Bible describes its own authorship by saying it "was written by holy men as God moved them."

ultimately, above the human authors, the bible was written by God. God superintended the human authors of the bible so that while using their own writing styles and personalities, they still recorded exactly what God wanted to be said. the bible was not dictated from God, but it was perfectly guided and entirely inspired by him.

humanly speaking, the bible was written by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years

The Bible was compiled and written by a large number of people over many years. As to who, exactly, those people are, no one knows.
