I am talking about here. I always see the same gripe when people are either answering about their religion or trying to promote their religion. Those that oppose religion will say stuff like 'stop trying to force your religion down my throat', yet isn't the purpose of this forum to allow people to express their religious and even non religious views?
I mean, I can recal ever seeing a believer in a religion telling an atheist to stop forcing their beliefs down their throats.

You are right. How can ANYONE accuse someone of doing that over the internet? It's silly.

As for "real life," you would think that Christians were literally chasing people down the streets and running them down, physically shoving them and screaming.

What a grand question, and true as well.
But there is a difference in gently offering someone a tasty morsel and in gagging a person with too much food.

Because some people get on here just to rant and proselytize. It's annoying and offensive.

I think it's because in a forum where no one is trying to make a dollar but to gain knowledge there would be more respect. Talking about religion is what this section is about. Saying you are right and everyone else is wrong is disrespectful and what makes people mad.

Religion brings a lot of fear to the table when it's being discussed. And some people will only see their one narrow path as the one and only "right" path.

I agree. Everyone who is here chose to be here so to bash other's faith is just an excuse to be mean.

Don't forget cats. We discuss cats here too.
And I don't understand why dog lovers come here, either.
