please, no smart *** answers. keep those to yourself. i'm just curious for particular reasons. is it fear of sacrifice or not having control or what? again, curious

By commit i guess it means doing all the things a Christian is supposed to do like pray, read the bible, give offering, and stuff like that.

People are afraid to commit because they are afraid of failure.

I think most Christians like the idea of eternal salvation on principle. They want the security of being told that they 1) will not have lived in vain and 2) there is something else to live for. However, once the read the bible, and find out what Christianity is really about, they are hesitant to commit fully, due to the level of sacrifice God demands. So basically most Christians want to be saved, but feel to self-righteous to commit to all of Gods demands, and wish to live their life how they want.

Lack of proof of their beliefs. Hell I'd be insecure too if I was living according to the rules of an invisible man in the sky. And doing so based on faith rather than knowledge is, to put it into nicer terms, difficult, and nearing the line of stupidity.

depends what u been through thats probly it and it changes a person and it takes time for them to heal

i think it is fear of sacrifice and not letting God control everything and losing somethings..........
