you're religious, great. you have faith no mortal being can shatter. would you put a gun to your head to prove it? strap a bomb to your chest and blow yourself up (assuming no one else gets hurt, unless that's part of your beliefs) in order to protect your beliefs?
to die for your country is almost a cliché, but dying for your religion has altogether different connotations attached. would you do it-- even think about doing it? (assume somewhere sometime you thought God wanted you to)

I'd only die for my son. Thanks for the thumbs down, I find it very amusing.

The way I see it I believe in God. religion, not so much.

Now, that said. I'd Die for my family (most of them anyway, Its a big family and the law of averages.....) and I'd Kill before I'd convert/conform against my will, meaning they'd likely kill me back, so I guess I'd Die for God. (Now if a fine looking woman wants to drag me into her church every Christmas and Easter, in exchange for getting to play the 'beast with two backs" the rest of the year, I'm there.)

But the way I see it, my God is powerful enough to not need to rely on a raging nut ball like me to get It's point across, so I wouldn't Kill or Die in Its name.

(I say It, because, well God created the Universe, its awfully arrogant and condescending to limit such a being to the Human male form, much like I find it odd that a Deity with the ability to generate a Universe, would feel the need to do so on a schedule that wouldn't be in place until after the job was done, and wouldn't be understood by the people who would use it, until well after they calmed down and stopped flinging their pooh, well most of us stopped anyway.)

well I'd have to say yes. But I can't quite say for sure. Id feel just horrible about that if i didn't. Its just one of those things you can say you would do but once in the situation its a whole different story. I truly wouldn't be able to live with myself if someone put a gun to my head and told me if i believed in God my life was over and i told him i didn't. Hopefully if that were to be it would be because God in his infinite power had a plan for me that i had to carry out on earth.

Well I dont think God is going to ask me to do that any time soon..So id rather not get too "into" your question.

Besides the best way to protect my beliefs is to open peoples eyes and explain my religion.. Not just kill myself..nothing would get done.

I believe that I would be more valuable to either a country or a religion by setting good examples and help humanity , I love life and I wouldn't ended for no one or anything.

I would die for Jesus, not religion. If someone put a gun to my head and told me to renounce my belief in Jesus and follow their religion, I guess I would have a really bad headache.... for a few seconds, anyway.
Jesus never told us to strap a bomb to our chests. He taught peace and loving concern for others.

No, not to simply prove a point. That would be pointless.
I would however be willing to give my life for another, as that is what my Lord and Saviour did for me. There is no greater love than that.

I would die for my God but I wouldn't strap a bomb to my chest (that's just suicide...). If someone took me aside and said "Deny God or die!" I'd stick with my God. :-) No reason not to.

Absolutely!! I say that because I feel like I would be sacrificing my life for the sake of God. Which the Bible calls us to do, if necessary, w/o murmuring.

god doesnt believe in suicide or murder so we would be safe... god takes u in his time not yours if u choose to end your life or someone elses u will be judged and sent to purgatory, so to me this question doesnt involve my beliefs or that or our church...

I would not forsake my Lord Jesus Christ for anyone. I would die for him. At least I would pray to God for the strength not to forsake Him if given a choice of denying Him or dying......

God bless.
