Everyone can feel a bit down, but we ALL have a great purpose to fulfill while here on Earth. Prayer is the key.

Your question concerns why we are in existence. This type of question presumes God exists:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

Inventing our own things to do in life will never satisfy us. We invent them, pretend they have importance but ultimately nothing is important unless there is God.

So I think God exists and that He put our great need for purpose into our nature so that we would be drawn to seek Him.
