I assume you want to open a PowerPoint 2007 file in PowerPoint 2000?

I would imagine you need to re-save the file in PowerPoint 2007, by opening it, then going to File -> Save as and then selecting the PowerPoint version in the drop-down box at the bottom of the pop-up. Then click save and try opening in PowerPoint 2000.

I am not sure if you are asking can you run 2007 PP using PP 2000 or if you are asking can you use PP2000 files with 2007.

You can NOT use PP2007 files with PP2000, but you can use PP 2000 files with PP2007. You can always use old files with new software, as it is designed to work with the old file. However you can NOT use new files with old software. They had no way in 2000 to predict on 2007 would work, so they could not design PP 2000 to work with a future version.

However, PP 2007 should have a option under the "file types: in the save box to save the file in the older PP 2000 format.
