Welcome to the real world!

Sounds like you will not be there very long one way or the other so here's the plan.

Use your people skills and some patients and devise a way to get along with your boss. This will be great practice for your next job. (There is one of those in every office)

Try to device a way to cope with your stress. Try to figure out why you are so stressed. See if you can figure a way to overcome, reduce or better cope with the stress. FYI law offices are generally very high stress environments. So many deadlines etc.

Remember, this job would look great on your resume. You want to leave there having done a good job and with everyone liking you.

Good luck.

You are young. You have a lot to learn. Relax and make a good decision for yourself.

Ask yourself--What do you want to do in the future? If you want to be a lawyer or a secretary. You should not quit the job because it is a great learning experience for you. On the other hand, if you want to be a doctor, psychologist, or school teacher, etc. You may consider apply for a part-time job that related to what you want to be in the future.

You are only 18. You have a life ahead of you. Don't be stress out over this. Take it easy and relax. You are only been there for a month. Well, the beginning of working is always stressful because we need to adjust to the work, the boss, the co-workers, the organization culture, etc. After that, you will be just fine.

When I started working my bosses are always controlling and following me every seconds. I always thought my boss is an ***, but when I got to know them. They are not that bad.

Take care and good luck to you :)

If you really need the money right now, don't quit just yet. It sounds silly, but I've found it to be true: It's easier to find a job if you already have a job. If you have a computer, which you obviously do, job searching can be easy. Monster and HotJobs are okay, but it's better to find a website for your local newspaper, and search the classifieds. You can do a lot online, sometime you have to fax, but your boss doesn't ever have to know you're looking. Try to schedule interviews for your time off, even lunch if you have to. I know it seems a little disloyal, but you do what you have to do. Then, you quit when you're ready.

Pretty much any job is going to be stressful even if your the owner. But if you are miserable then quit. I worked for an attorneys office once for 3 days and walked out. I have never done that before but sometimes you just can't take anymore.
And you are right, if you have the financial means, then concentrate on your education. Good luck to you.

Try having a serious conversation with them. Explain you are a young woman you graduated your working and you want to be able to go out with your friends without any issue. Sounds like your parents are a bit overprotective which will only come into full understand when you have kids of your own. It;s annoying yes but they mean well. As far as moving out you will need a responsible adults to cosign (your parents) however some places may take you if you have good credit on your own. Your 18 but your considered an adult until 25 (I'm 20 trust I've looked into it lol). All in all you want to keep your parents in your life so talk to them. Look into places you would like to move into, make a budget save money, show them your capable of living on your own and going to school or work without there supervision. Everything your parents are because they are afraid of your future but you have to try and get them to see that you know what your doing with your life. More importantly you know what you want for your life.

Yes of course you should quit. Nobody should have a stressful job like that. Start searching the situations vacant looking for stress free jobs at around $100,000 per annum.
There`s hundreds of them. Also make sure that they offer a non contributory pension scheme, 20 weeks paid holiday a year, free medical insurance, a company car, and luncheon vouchers. May I recommend a website: www.dreamonjobs/stu/cu/du/bas.com

Sorry that your first job experience was so horrible. Don't be jilted for life...you can do much better and your are not stupid.

Stupid is such a harsh word and can you really say it with a smile?

Go to school...get YOUR education. Work part-time if you must, but make sure that is somewhere fun...not at a retail store (stay away from the big red store with the circle). Most employers claim that they promote education and they really don't ; they dislike looking at school schedules.

Your best friend's dad is only looking out for his business and his family? The person that is operating the business on behalf of your the dad probably couldn't do any better either.

Please go to school and make a name for yourself.

Best wishes and good luck.!!

Just remember school comes first.....if work is going to stress you out and cause you to slip on the grades i would leave. But find another non-stressful job before you leave.

All jobs are stressful when you're 18.

They call it work because all the other 4 letter words were taken.
