I was just wandering about that....I dont know a lot about making ice cream, we usually get Blue Bell ice cream yummy

i usually get grainy homemade ice cream if I use lower fat milk and/or cream. If make ice cream with normal full fat milk and heavy cream. It is nice and smooth like an ice cream store would make. But if I use say half n half and nonfat milk, it gets all grainy.

just personal preference.

Iced cream gets grainey when it freezes too slowly .
