Go see a psychiatrist who specializes in ADD.

You need to know that YOU ARE NOT DUMB!!
There is something going on in your brain right now that is causing you to forget stuff, write it down wrong, etc. I know just how you feel.

When I told my doctor that I get lost all the time, even going to places I've been before, he said my processor is full. Like I'm a computer with no more disc space, it can't process, and I can't think. There's too much going on in my mind right now. The key is to bring down the stress, and talk to the dr.

If anyone says that you are dumb in your hearing, you can tell them 1. that you're mentally ill right now and you're working on it; or 2. expect to be reported to management the next time you make a disparaging comment about me.

you are NOT dumb!. hi there I work for SD County, Children's Outpatient Mental Health. First off, I suggest you let your supervisor know that you are aware of the comments, and ask him to speak with your co-workers and let them know that if this continues you will go to Human Resources and file a harassment complaint! yuo have a disability, and it's ok. We have a Psychiatrist on board and our kids are prescribed medication. There is nothing wrong with this. Maybe you can talk to your primary care physician and get a referral on the best way to go about this. If not meds. therapy also works for our clients as well as better structure. Let me know if you need further help on where to find someone to talk to. You can also call the access and crisis line in your area for referrals. Good luck

Find another job and stop telling yourself you are dumb. Read more books to help with your concentration and take yourself and your job seriously and you should start making less mistakes. Start being proud of who you are and improve yourself however you can. Think about taking some night courses or a trade school to get a different kind of job.

Sadly, there's a good chance medications won't help you being 'dumb'. The best thing you can do is try your hardest to prove them all wrong.
I'm ADD too, but I'm not dumb. My mind just has a peculiar was of functioning. I know I can carry on...I'm not going to do medication because i know that will just make things worse. I'm just going to stick to it.
