I know it sounds daft but my vegetarian daughter felt the same as you, and she is now addicted to crispy onions , you can buy them dried in the supermarket to sprinkle over salads or sandwiches she says the taste is the nearest thing to bacon.

Carry on eating your bacon and forget about being a vegetarian. Meat eaters are really much healthier, whatever anybody likes to say.
If you need persuading, try reading "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon. You'll find it on Amazon.

If you love the taste of bacon, eat it! And forget this vegetarian stuff.

Going veggie is fine.

But once in a while it won't hurt to have a bacon buttie,

Make it your "naughty but nice " thing.

I don't know Crispy.
I have never met the woman.
I know nothing about her.
I don't care what that private detective said
I was visiting my mother's grave all weekend.
