Yes, to an extent. Asking for true forgiveness means you really are sorry for the sin and wish not to repeat it. Human nature can sometimes lead to repeating the sin again before finally learning how not to, but if repeating it is done with consistency, it's also done on purpose. Asking for forgiveness for a sin you choose to continually repeat is not really asking for forgiveness, it's looking for a justification to get away with the wrong doing.

Yes by all means BUT--- having to ask forgiveness for the same sin over and over would suggest a behavior problem somewhere.
If a person asks forgiveness but is not really sorry or repentant of the sin , how can it be forgiven !

Of course we can. Does it mean keep on sinning? NO!!! However, God will not forgive us just once and then not the next time we sincerely ask his forgiveness. He knows our hearts. Peter asked if we should forgive someone if they sin against us even 7 times in a day. Jesus said 7X70, meaning don't stop forgiving. If Jesus tells Peter do forgive that many times, our Father in Heaven is willing to do the same. But PLEASE, sincerely seek God and He will forgive you AND give u the wisdom and stregnth to stop that same sin.

Yes, of course. Just because you repeat the same sin doesn't mean it isn't worth asking for forgiveness again and asking for help in not repeating it over and over. you are human and a sinner, you cannot be expected to live sin free all the time.

I sure hope so! Actually the answer is yes. It takes time to overcome some problems and God knows this. Keep trying and keep forgiving yourself and ask for strength and forgiveness. But don't use this for an excuse to keep doing the same thing without trying!

Yes...If you are baptized your sins are washed away. If you have a problem that causes you to sin over and over... then that is where prayer and time in the word can help. Get into a good bible based church and they will have support groups to help you should you really have a big problem (which is why you relapse) sometimes the Lord leads us to the help we need through the route of temptation. Good luck and God bless.

We are all flawed but are you truly repentant (which is asking for forgiveness) you will also pray for strength not to do "it" anymore if "it" is controlling you and making you sin. Just keep your hands above the covers and you will be fine.

Sure you can because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But just because you can be forgiven of the same sin over and over doesn't mean that you have to keep committing it over and over especially if it is intentional.
