I've SEEN Some Church's of Christendom Use WALMART Fishing Nets instead of COLLECTION PLATES when "Begging" 4 Money at their Sunday Church Services ! ! !

Then THEY'LL "Shove" these CHEAP Nets "INto YOUr FACE" two or three times !

WHY? WHY? WHY??????????

Really? I've never heard that one before.......I do know that they pass collection plates several times.. smiles!
Anyway, I guess the nets are to ensure that they don't get loose change, just bills!
Sad, sad, sad indeed!

When Jesus sent his disciples out to preach, he reminded them that they had received "free" and were to give "free"
Christendom has commercialized and added a price to religion.

No big conspiracy. Nets are quieter, easier to maneuver, and hold more. You can buy pretty ones at church supply stores but WalMart fishing nets work just as well.

What the churches need all that money for (other than those that are paying off legal judgments against them) is a whole different issue.

Why people would give them money is an even bigger mystery.

Maybe it's because that way everyone can see exactly how much you are giving, and that should make you put in a $100 note instead of a $20. (Just a guess, we don't have any collections at our meetings, so I wouldn't know.......)

Because they will be able to see at a glance if you put buttons in the net. They know all about these dodges, they know all about the tricks you play. And they are always one jump ahead ha ha ha .

because they want paper money, which won't slip through the holes in the nets, whereas coins will slip through, causing the giver to be totally embarrassed for being so cheap as to give god dimes and nickles

Frankly, I don't believe you go to ANY churches. I've been to plenty and I've never seen a 'net'.

however......most Christians take the practice of tithing and offering seriously. They don't do it because someone shoves anything in their face....they do it for God and to His glory.

I would suggest you pay the electric and water and all the bills that the church has yourself and then you will fully understand the need for tithing.

In my sect, people give their donations in envelopes directly to the bishop so no one else will see how much money was involved.

When you give your alms, do you do it to be seen of man?
