Catholic Crusader--you seem to know enough about Catholic history to know a similar menu of "fruits" could be tallied up over your damned church, you self-righteous pompous ***.

Communism on paper is actually a wonderful idea Mr. Crusader. It is People that make it evil in practice. I find it interesting that you list a litany of wrongs done by a minority of Muslims, yet you totally ignore the State sponsored terror inflicted by our own Government. Along with quite a few other Western/Christian Nations. Do you honestly feel that a suicide Bomber is more evil than the Soldier who murders with a .50 caliber Tank mounted weapon? You must also realize that Islam is a younger religion than yours. What was your religion doing at that time in its history? I can tell you. Crusades, Inquisitions, Manifest Destiny.

As far as the question. I have read the entire bible and a good portion of the Qu ran. I must be honest that when i was a believer the words in the Qu ran tempted me greatly. I find the Qu ran to be as apt as the Bible. I do not trust either though.

I've recently read a lot of it and will finish, but I did not find God in those pages. I've found a lot of violence, confused stories, as much praise for Muhammad as for Allah. The hadiths are even worse. Those show that Muhammad was the boss and Allah just answered his wishes.

EDIT: The confused stories are twisted versions from the Old and New Testaments. The violence in the Koran goes against the Love of Jesus. Show me His violence please. Jesus is considered a prophet in Islam, yet they reject His teachings. I see you didn't deny that Muhammad was the boss and not Allah.

A mind is like a parachute,...
it works best when it is OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

My GOD! I have read so many small minded, dogmatic, knee jerk responses to your question that it boggles the mind. Religion really is the opiate of the masses, geez!

I have read much philosophy and several religious texts, and I find truth in all of them. A discerning mind can see what is real and what is political BS.
It seems that all religions agree on a wide variety of issues, like moral laws "thou shall not kill" is reiterated in every religious text I have come across to date.

how about a philosophical question?
if "GOD" (whoever you call your deity) made man in his own image, and man is obviously flawed,...doesn't that mean that God is flawed too?

I've read the Torah, the Mitvot, the New tstament, the Q'uran, and Marx. All are the delusional rantings of unbalanced minds or a knowing fraud, or both, but at least Marx didn't toss in any winged horses and talking donkeys.

The Bible is the holy and true word of God, not the Quran.
So no one needs to read it.
