If you are otherwise healthy and getting enough sleep then sometimes it could be a food intolerances or other allergies.
Perhaps you could get your Mum to arrange for you to have some allergy testing. Sometimes it is genetics as it tends to run in families. Try freshly sliced cucumber on each closed eyelid whilst lying down for ten minutes or so. Alternative this with cooled used camomile tea bags. Make sure you get enough vitamins, which means eating healthily and if necessary taking some multivits. Avoid coffee and cola.Toxins in the diet could be a possible cause and coffee and cola only add to the load. Smoothies made of real fruit will help in toxin clearance as will drinking lots of filtered water. Make sure you do drink enough water (filtered) so as to clear out toxins and so as to not be dehydrated -- possible causes of puffiness in the eye area and/or dark circles. Try to cut down on salt also.

Best wishes.

It could be fluid getting trapped there. When I was sick I had to lie in bed for most of the day for a few days, and as a result I had bags form under my eyes. Try sleeping with your head elevated.

If you've had them for most of your life, or for several years now at least, it could be hereditary. I've had circles under my eyes since I was a little kid, and it's a result of it getting passed from my mother to me (she has circles under her eyes as well).

If these are circles you are talking about, and not excessive tissue under the eyes, then you can use concealer to cover them up. I know most guys think they shouldn't wear make-up, but it's really not going to be noticeable at all and it's become acceptable for guys to wear make-up in order to cover up blemishes and other things like that. I used to know a guy who had horrible acne and wore make up most of the time to cover it up. The only way I figured out he wore make up was because one day he went without it.

If they're really bothering you, you can try visiting a dermatologist and see what they can offer you. I've tried those products that you see in stores that claim to get rid of bags, and they don't work. So go to a doctor and see what serious treatments they have.

If it's just bags [not dark circles] it could be fat deposits. It could also be from poor circulation. There are many remedies to fix this.

First, you can start with sleeping with your head elevated. The reason people's faces are swollen slightly when the wake up, is because after laying down for 8 hours, your circulation is poor. Elevating your head will remedy this.

You can apply chilled, milk soaked cotton balls to your eyes for 10 minutes as well.
