Since you won't be doing hip & elbow certifications, no eye, heart or thyroid certifications and poorly bred Golden Retrievers are a dime a dozen.. You can probably sell them for $150... which may cover the cost of doing their dew claws at 3 days, worming at 3 & 6 weeks, and shots at 6 weeks plus the extra puppy food both mom and pups will need.

Hopefully you won't have to do a c-section... and end up bottlefeeding pups every 2 hours.

AKC doesn't mean anything. It's just a piece of paper.

He should have a good pedigree - health records of his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, and even further back if possible. If they were all in good health and had no genetic problems like hip dysplasia or blindness, then you should take him to a breeder, vet, or dog show judge and have them evaluate him for his conformation and temperament - somebody with expertise. If they judge him to be a good-looking and healthy, fit animal you MIGHT consider breeding him, but make sure the female has the same quality health records. The owner of the female will pay a stud fee, the amount dependent on how good an animal you have, or they may give you the pick of the litter instead.

You should investigate this fully before you irresponsibly breed your dog for money.

Sixth time - are you gonna keep asking till someone inidcates you can retire on pimping the dog? Seriously the Next question indicating he has a black belly should have all the show folks running like (beep) and the pet folks right behind them since all their puppy buyers will look at any pups that inherit that and question the purebred status of the litter. Maybe if you offer to pay the females owner you MIGHT get a taker....

You are going to breed your male? Charge for what? HIS puppies?? Doesnt make sense.

Be more specific please.

Honestly, I dont think one should be breeding if they have to ask YA what to charge for their puppies, or stud service, or whatever on earth you are asking.

Puppies of that breed go for about $1200.00 on average, unless you are like my crazy looney toon neighbor and wants to charge $2700.00 for a "light shade of white" golden retriever.
