I had the same problem before and because I have almost tries everything on the market I gave up but washing ur face a lot can actually cause more dryness and redness coz ur stripping of ur skin's natural oil. other reason is that wen u had spots they usually leave red scar or redness on ur skin especially if u hav fair skin so wat I wud suggest u do is just relax and apply some ice on it but not 4 2 long and don't expect an immediate result. otherwise u cud just give it more time. Spots causes inflammation because the skin gets infected and swells and wat u r experiencing is normal. But if ur still bothered u can use some aloe vera gel u can buy this from bodyshops but be careful since non anti-acne products can sometimes cause more spots. The last alternative is get to the root of the problem and go a dermatologist and I mean the good ones not the cheap one and get a medicine for ur spots since most anti-spot medication has anti-inflammatory ingredients. This is what I did but I had my spots and other blemishes treated by a well known dermatologist in the philippines and since western money change in big amount in Asia I managed to afford really good treatments and skincare products. After a month I had no pimples and even wen I don't apply medication I am still pimple free. if u want 2 check it heres the website u can check this website http://www.dermclinic.com.ph/. u can also try some of this sites products Theraderm.net, Acneease.com, and oriki.com. hope this helps!

Well, if you are trying to clear up redness for a special time like a date you can use eye drops for red-itchy eyes, but it won't make it go away, just cover it up for a while. Don't over wash your face because that makes it irritated and way more red. You could try mint toothpaste but it could make it more red but clear it up. If you do use mint toothpaste then put a dab on the area and put a Bad-Aid on it and leave it on over night. But don't do it more than once and only do it if it is really big and nasty because it could burn your skin.

Hope this helped!

nah, don't try toothpaste.
it dries out the zits, but it makes them really red. which you are trying to get rid of!
i've heard using eye-drops on your zits clears up the redness.
but i'm not sure. try it out.
