It depends on how much you eat and how much you exercise. (BTW, mustard isn't bad for your sandwiches, at all. The bread however...) I get the feeling you're in a rush to lose weight. If that's so, do the cabbage soup diet. You'll lose weight faster eating that with any other diet/training program. You'll fart up a gas storm, but weight will fly off you.

You're off to a good start. Actually ketchup has a LOT of sugar in it, and mustard is an excellent diet condiment. You caloric intake is probably low, although it's impossible to say for sure without knowing your height, weight, and age.

You have the right attitude -- losing weight is ALL about changing your relationship to food and exercise. After you get past the cravings (for chips and dessert) you very likely find that you don't even have any desire for them any more. It's not a matter of wanting to be good: it's a matter of starting to feel healthy and realizing that junk foods make you feel lethargic and a little unwell after you eat them. People who eat that way all the time don't notice, because their systems have never been purged and they are used to the feeling.

Exercise is a key part of any weight loss regime BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BECOME AN EXERCISE FREAK. Most people, especially beginners, do just fine exercising from home. You can begin with a brisk walk 3 times a week for 30 minutes and work up to jogging. Or try a light pilates routine (there are DVDs available that will instruct very well). Jumping rope will give you a heck of a cardio work out, but you should be fit enough to do that. But if you are, it's fun and one of the best aerobic workouts you can get in just 15 minutes. You really do need good shoes for that though and you must realize that as a high impact exercise it may stress bones, ligaments, and tendons over time.

One of the very best exercises you can do from home is a routine using hand weights or dumbbells and a stability ball. The weights run about $12 each and the ball costs $20, so the investment is small and the payback is just huge.

The scale is NOT YOUR FRIEND. Your TAPE MEASURE IS YOUR FRIEND. Calculate your lean body mass to find out how much of your make up is fat and how much is lean body mass. Measure your upper arms, your chest, your waist, your hips, glutes, upper thighs, and calfs. Those measurements will help you see results, because as you replace fat with muscle you may actually gain during some phases of your regime.

Be aware that your body will canabilize muscle LONG before it starts to burn fat so your diet must be properly balanced. And if you try to lose without exercise, you'll run into the same problem so diet is SO important. The fuel mix can actually be calculated and you can actually discover what you're utilizing (fat, carbs, or protein) and how many calories you need and burn.

Here are some links you might find helpful. Skip past the ads -- they are trying to sell you stuff but the tools are very useful.

Best of luck!

Just keep active, drink a lot of water, and eat every 3-4 hours and it should come off in no time! I like how you call it a lifestyle change not a diet. It's a nice way to look at it. Work real hard and don't lose motviation! Work towards a goal. Or send a picture of yourself without a shirt to a close, trustworthy friend, and say to them, " If you don't see dramatic changes within 6-12 weeks then I want you to send this picture to everyone at school."... That should get you do it. Always do that extra sit-up, every little bit counts! Best of Luck!

Depending upon your age - speed of your metabolism - those things will determine how fast you lose. If you're under 30, you should have a fair chance of losing weight subtantially within the first month (4 weeks) of making this concerted effort. If older, goodluck, it may take a lot more exercise in addition to watching your diet to make progress.

You will lose weight. How much depends on your previous diet. If you are bloated then that will go first. Then water weight as you lower your sodium. If you do weight training and build your muscle you will burn fat faster. I'm not sure why you are using ketchup over mustard. Mustard is your better choice. I found a great website to monitor my calorie and nutritional intake. It is myfooddiary.com. It's important that you not only watch calories but to make sure the ones you are getting are balanced to keep you adequately fueled. Good luck!

Sounds like a very small carb diet
but those special K diets telling you you'll drop 2 dress sizes etc is based on just eating their cereal.
You need to exercise more, walking isnt really a fat burning exercise...yes thats the truth
you must raise your heart rate with running, rowing, skipping etc.
Also you need to have a good balanced diet, not just cereal, this could be bad for your system later on.
You need the required nutriets for you body
If you do this you will notice results in a number of weeks.

Eat less and move more and you will lose weight. Try to lay off the simple carbs and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water and walk or do yoga at least 45 minutes a day and you will definetly loss weight. Good luck!

I'd say the secret to loosing weight is haveing a big fatty breakfast and no joke, you won't want to or even think about eating again until dinner. But it sounds like what you're doing is OK...remember cereals have lots of sugar in them and sugar doesn't help weight loss, try a cereal like Muslix it's good too. Try the big breakfast thing though, if you only have a bowl of cereal for breaky then you're gonna want to be snacking al throughout the day...and those cereal bars aren't exactly good for you, handy but crap.
