Because people are dumb to classify people and race in color. No one is really White skin or Black skin unless you're like sick or somethin'. That's why people should just be classified as humans. I think There shouldn't be any race classification.

First lets face it gender then color is the easiest way to immediately I.D. a person. If you get into skin tones then you really have trouble trying to I.D. a person if you were a police officer giving a description over the radio. Or if it were a mass casualty situation you might say " Take the white person to see Dr. #1, He has a broken bone" etc.
Calling a person white or black has nothing to do with them being that exact color.
I just returned from Haiti, where I had purchased a painting by a local artist. The women in the painting were painted with black paint and without distinct features. I showed it to our housekeeper and asked what she thought? She said "I'm not that black". I asked what color am I and she said blanc or White. I took out a piece of drawing paper and said "What color is this"? She answered blanc again, to which I said I'm not that blanc.
I hope this helped.

you are wrong on both counts, actually, most europeans are more sallow, than pink. Depending on what part of europe you are talking about, the further into the mediteranian you go, the darker the skin, a carryover from the greco roman ties, or if you are more sardinian sicilian, its the syrian/lebanese ties.
Now, if you go to france, or holland, denmark, ect. you will find those with lighter skin.

Holy Mother of God! Now I have heard everything. Pink! Pink? I have never seen a pink person. Once, about 40 years ago, there was an urban legend about little pink naked people who lived in the underground tunnels in downtown Houston, but I never saw them, either. I'm sorry, poster....You're right no one is "white", but they sure as hell aren't pink, either. But thanks for the belly laugh!

Would you like to be called pink? Me either. I think "we" were given that title by people that aren't pink. So....you need to ask them. And if you've seen my ****, white is an appropriate description.

No one is white, pink or any color..really...last time I checked!! But it is common for people to refer to Caucasian people as white in this society--just like we refer to people of African decent black...when they are technically not!

So its equally ridiculous to refer to ANY race as a particular color. Because skin color verys from person to person in any race, therefore, it doesn't correctly identify everyone.

The same reason we call African people black when they are actually brown. We call lots of things stuff that they aren't. Like how some people call Britney Spears "talented", or the Olsen Twins "cute."

turn off your computer, lie down for a few minutes, and think! if you weren't so ignorant, you'd know that there's diversity in Europe, so not all of them are "pink."
