What variety of melanoma? There are numerous help companies, check with your nearby clinic and/or household MD. When you suppose talking to a psychologist or psychiatrist would be worthwhile, don't hesitate - it doesn't mean you are mentally unwell, it approach you need any one to help you and someone which you can communicate confidentially with about your inside most ideas. One of my moms and dads additionally had melanoma - after 7 years, they had been considered a survivor and are still around now after almost two decades. The extra you comprehend in regards to the form of cancer, the more you could maintain the hindrance. It also sounds like you need a smash - please take the time off and chill out.

encourage your friend to make the most of the time he has left.she is lucky that she has a chance to right any wrongs there may be. some people dont get that chance. Ther is a song called " live like you are dying " by Tim McGraw that says alot. also Sometimes people who have been given a death sentence pull away. If her dad does just be there 4 her.

It doesn't get much worse than this. I'm glad that your friend has someone like you to help her get through this. She will need you and it will be the most difficult thing either of you has gone through. Make sure she spends as much time with her dad as possible. Make sure she tells him how special he is and has been in her life. Take pictures; lots of them. You may be the only one of you two who is thinking straight. Make sure she ends up with no regrets. Nothing could be worse than "I wish I would have said this or that". "I wish I would have asked him this or that." I will be praying for all of you. I hope God heals him. But if He doesn't, I know that she will be mad at God. Finally make sure her dad knows Jesus as his Savior. Call a pastor to help you with this. His eternal destination is at stake. Bless you for helping.

Yes, there is a chance. The doctors give a time frame that someone may live til based upon the information they get from their scans, tests, etc, but there is ALWAYS the chance that he can go into remission.

My suggestion........PRAY.....pray for her and her family.
That is the best thing you can do for them right now.

There is always hope. Doctors don't know everything.
There is not a lot you can do except be there for your friend when she needs someone to talk to. Be sure and include her when you go out with friends.
You sound like a nice person and a good friend.

Just be there for her, offer to let her cry if she needs to. Try to do things that make her happy. Send her funny pick-me-up e-cards. Rent a funny movie and bring it to her place.

I lost my mom to cancer a couple of months ago myself, and my heart goes out to her. She is very lucky to have you as her friend.
